Stoner to lay down some laps...

Stoner is going to lay down some laps at Sepang ahead of the official test. Should create some interest and a bench mark for the top 4. May well create some speculation of a Wild Card at PI should his times be competitive.

Crikey.
This place is as cavernous as migs bunghole and povols cranium combined. HELLO......HELLo.......HELlo......HEllo......Hello....hello....ello....llo. Jesus..... Nothing but echo. The only thing emptier than this is Lexs conscience and Cliches bong. Where is Michael M. He's probably still wanking off after hearing this news. But really, is it news? I thought we were done with the, "Stoner Farts!!! That means he must be coming back to GP" headlines.
Duc. You must really be a Ducati engineer because no one breaks .... better than you. You should rename yourself Walter White.
I got an idea though. Let's start prediction threads for random subjects. The first thread will be, "Will Migs start a prediction thread this year?" Or "Will Migs put snarky comments after NH's name?" Each thread will get at least two posts. One by the thread starter and one by Migs. That's more posts then this place has had in a month. Bet this posts generates more replies then anything of late.
Now someone please point the way out of here. Im lost and stuck in Migs hell. HELP.....HELp....HElp...Help...help....elp.....

Hahahaha, what a fantastic surprise. PS managed to choke out and garnered a post this month, actually two, and with mine that makes three. Those metrics are flying through the roof! I got 100 pennies on my prediction that Migs will be making a predictions thread, predicting race winers because its really so unpredictable. So I might as well post my prediction: A Spaniard will win most races, if not all, and one will be crowned chimp. I also predict Pov will make a thread proving the popularity of MotoGP because he will create a thread titled: "Proving a Point", proving once and for all the mere existence of such a thread is thee case in point--that its popular, that's in absolute term of course.

Cliche, JK said its empty, not that you're out. Time to reload the cannon bong from the Mount Everest Stash. Ah I miss the old days when NannyK AKA Zootlaws were off to the latest climate disaster as nothing less than the director of the Red Cross to save the world. All the while NannyK was maintaining a t-shirt business on the side. Or BJC with his encyclopedic knowledge of...well everything. Not to mention Barry Machines' work keeping the four winds of global peace at bay, its a stressful job, but BM's tenure as NORAD's chief can be counted as a resounding success.

So...Stoner is coming back to GP? Ah man, that's just gonna be awesome! Especially because that will surely bring Cookoo Bird back from retirement. Speaking of retirements, maybe even Kropaganda will come back and grace us with his 'insider' knowledge. Especially now that Migs and Povol are the only regulars and nobody is around to challenge his opinions. Ah, who am I kiddKing, I think he prefers the comfort of his own site, where any divergent opinions can be summarily deleted, censored, and banned making MarcMatter's group think echo chamber the envy of Fox News. Zing, I'm kiddKing of course, nothing can reach that level of sophistication, nobody would actually join the site under an alias, right Pinky? Speaking of which, SuperShinya, if not on the Hong Kong circuit must really be chomping at the bit for things to pick-up around here. I'm assuming this of course, because nothing captivated his attention more than the possibility of talking to a girl online (no no, not in real life).

So can somebody update me? Has Dorna made any last minute changes to the rules to gift MurderMac an advantage? I really have been out of the loop, especially since Kawsaki engineer Insider flew the coop. Is Kawasaki Heavy Industries building a new Honda RCV .3 secs off the pace? Are there still 4-5 categories within categories? What ever happened to category Factory2.1? Please tell me there will be a 4th podium in parc ferme, I'm sure Povol just loved the coveted CRT's two-dicks-on-a-bike equivalent, given his boycott of MotoGP.

Hey guys. Your all back. Thats great news. Hopefully you'll stay. Im not sure what happened. This used to be such a great place. Where did everyone go?

I lament the days of a bygone era. You're correct MotoChick, this used to be a fantastic place. It was like that TV show Cheers. Pov and Migs were the comic relief. Kropo, the know it all with thin skin. Etc. No but really, it was great, and frankly despite all the banter between people, it was entertaining and normally all in good fun (except for one or two socially inept people like Zoolaws and his multiple personalities).

This used to be a place where you met and made friends of like mind, some becoming lifelong friends. This used to be a place where you could learn a thing or two about racing, the debates made you go out to BJC (wiki) your facts and scour the Earth for interviews, sound bites, and websites about the sport, which in turn made one more knowledgable. The noise of banter was part of the experience of this place, despite so many bemoaning it. Where are they now? That is a good question:

There are several members I keep in touch with, and talk to on a daily basis, but its those other members I wonder about. What became of Andy Roo? Did he finally make peace with his horrific accident that frankly he faced with the courage? Or Pigeon, who I feel I'm not at liberty to discuss, but know that somewhere in the ether, all the friends he met here are thinking of him. On a lighter note, did Drill ever find Jesus or is he still cool with Satan? Real relationships in a virtual world. I can go on, and on, there are so many names that pop up in my memory. Look at the social threads, or the Lounge, or the birthday thread for an idea of what this place was like. Look up threads around the holidays, most of which are on the offseason, yet man came here to wish their virtual friends good wishes. I have an 8x10 picture of Nicky Hayden sitting center stage in my garage that was sent to me half way around the world, Frizzle sent it to me. A picture he took at Phillip Island, developed it and sent it framed to my residence in California. I miss Rising Sun's Top 10, nothing less than brilliant writing that would make any professional comic screen writer envy its magnificence, and all done for a niche of readers who could get the obscure jokes that only a tiny diehard MotoGP fan base might get. And what about Lexicon, did he ever come out of the closet? I'll say Steifel came out of the closet, admitting he thought umbrella girls are ugly has got to be a form of coming out. Most of you don't remember (as if somebody is actually reading this post) but there used to be a member here named AntFan. That is, Anthony West fan. Think about this for a moment, can there be any more an obscure fanclub: membership total: 1. Funny because long after this member left I actually became of fan of West, for his determination to the sport. I still remember arguing with Povol over this, who thought he was stupid for chasing his dreams by selling all his possessions to ride one more year (incidentally West won a race that year). I wonder where the females of the forum are today: Somedamnwriter, Marijke, Bikergirl, Halfpint, Angel, l13eaw, Kez91, Sylvia, and Willski (lumping in the shemales in this list). And what about those socially obscure members like Pinky, and SuperShinya, and BarryMachine? Or those members who were so mature they just didn't belong here like michaelm? I remember once Curve took a dig at Keith Code, and a few days later Keith Code appeared to make a post. I .... you not. I swear there were many a professional rider that lurked on this forum, some I am not at liberty to disclose.

Ah and the debates, banter, and .... talking is what I miss. I remember when all the Casey Stoner fans loved me, until one day I said Stoner had whined about something fairly small. Then I got hate mail by Bunnyip, Mental Anarchist, and a few others from the Stoner Boners (minus the reasonable Stoner fans). Since then I took pleasure in winding these thin skinned lads up.

We also went through some sad moments, like when various riders were killed in WSBK and GP. I sill remember the awful feeling I had when Tomizawa and Marco Simonchelli died, or when Joan Lascorz was paralyzed. Particularly with Simonchelli, as his crash I watched in real time and was so well documented including the aftermath of his funeral covered. I remember the debates it spawned on here and in true MGPF/Powerslide fashion, typical discussions, a full spectrum of opinions.

And what about when Pedrosa was caught cheating on his Yacht Captain exam? Hahaha. I think these were the only times the forum came together. But also during Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving. People would put aside all their differences and like one particular moment during WW1, the soldiers came out of their trenches to sing Silent Night in solidarity (well at least for a small brief moment).

Where are they now? .... knows.

Im right here ........ Are you drunk again? Did you forget me? I dont know how you could. Im so much hotter then those ........

This place died when Stoner left MotoGP and Marquez picked up the mantel of proving that Rossi was only great against an average field of riders.

When Stoner left there was no one to hate on and hating on Stoner was 1 half of the conversation. When Marquez continued to beat Rossi there was nothing the Boppers could retaliate with because not only did Stoner hand Rossi his arse, Lorenzo and then Marquez did it too.

I lost interest in MotoGP and am now only a casual fan rather than a die hard. Part of this is because of the disastrous management of the sport and the other is because of Stoner being driven out like he was. This year may be different with another irritating Aussie in the field who has already drawn the eyre of the euro metrosexuals.

I lost interest here because there is a life out there. .... wasting hours a day on the internet.

No, no wasted time at all. Jokes, laughter, banter, a lot of interesting info, not to mention the scientific approach of some topics. Remember when somebody calculate the RPM of engines based on the sound recorded at the track? No Mental, I bet for some this place was better than real life.

And BM is still his old self I see.

Could we maybe 'double' the post count this month? And how about talking about WSBK and filling that forum for a change fuckers...looks like it might be an exciting year on the dark side...

I agree in part. Stoner leaving the sport was the final straw. If Rossi had been capable of dicing it out to the end with MM that would have kept it interesting. But the combination of all the CRT ........ and the sad sight of the talented riders going to waste on the ...... Ducatis has become boring in the extreme. We thought shrinking grids were a problem? Oye vey! That isn't half of it. I never considered time spent on PS a waste of time. There was great fellowship here and the freaks and the crazies were an integral part of it. I miss the whole bunch - the good and the bad. It takes all kinds to make the chemistry work.

.... that ...., ive been around for years and this forum sucks, with the due respect.

If this is a motogp forum then it should be named Motogp forum from the beginning, not powerslide. That would have attracted more users to debate.

Anyway, I just wanna know news about Ducati, and .... all the rest. Tired of Honda/Yamaha discussions, Rossi/Lorenzo/Marquez. Every year is the same ...., the same riders, the same bikes, the same users, the same discussions. You should innovate, so Dorna.

If this year Ducati manage to surprise and beat the big two, Motogp audience will triple, at least, so will this forum. People are eager for different things, different feelings. It's nice to see a big dog falling down before a tiny grasshopper. David x Goliath is far more interesting.

People want to try new feelings. Let the Duc surprise us all.
