Stoner to HRC in 2011

If this is true and ends up happening it would be nice for him to go to Honda with the #1 plate on the front. I know Dovi will still be in contract but I would love to see either Spies or Randy as his team mate. If Lorenzo and Rossi stay put then I don't think Spies will tolerate a satellite bike for another year so he may just go Honda with Dani and Nicky reunited at Ducati.

Casey was fast on the Honda before he jumped ship to Ducati, very curious to see what he can acheive back on it especially as the bike is more twitchy than ever now.

Wow! silly season already. I could see Stoner returning to Honda. Which rider will Honda send packing? Lots of racing to go yet before anyone will really know what happens.

Well I really could see Stoner going to Honda for 2011 - BUT with the #1 Plate - dream on. Spies will be wanting (aka demanding) a factory ride. Rossi - I see on or IN something RED. Fiat and Ferrari are now talking and 3 car teams are not to be ruled out. Then again Rossi & Hayden would not be a bad line-up. Although I'm no P-Bot fan - he did fight against Lorenzo and did some nice paint trading before Lorenzo finally passed & left him, but as we've all seen at big H - riding is not as important to success as much as politics and big H polical correctness - so who knows where he will be in 2011. If Rossi goes RED and it's IN not ON then all kinds of things will open up.

Nope I don't see it. He will tuck that thing more than a cross dresser at a straight bar. Unless Suppo is over there working on making that bike on unridable, so that the backward ... aussie can ride it.

Just because they spent an hour in his motorhome means nothing. They could have been trading recipies.

Stoner's kangaroo steak in beer sauce for Suppo's Pasta Ala Ducati Va Vangole.

Seriously.... Stoner on the Honda with Bridgestones, Ohlins and Marelli... would throw the Yamaha garage into shock.

Look what No-Fight Pedrosa accomplished with the Honda. It would be a great opportunity for Stoner (who was fast

on the Honda in 2006) to show what he could really do - but on Bridgestones. It would serve all the disloyal ones at

Ducati right.

to early to get all cranked up over .... like this......we'll see what musical seats will happen soon enough.... lets see how the season pans out abit first.

One thing we can be fairly certain is unless Pedrosa wins the championship, or comes very close to winning it, he will want to leave Honda, and Honda will happily show him the door. Honda's first choice will be Lorenzo, if Lorenzo loses the championship again to Rossi and Rossi agrees to another year with Yamaha, then it could be very likely that Honda could lure Lorenzo away by filling his ego with thoughts of being their #1 rider. Of course everything will depend on how the Honda in general runs this year, and if making the jump is worth it. I'm guessing that the only major factory (who cares about Suzuki, sorry GSfan) that will have a #1 rider change is Honda.

I still have my doubts that Stoner will leave Ducati any time soon. He's had a rough start to the year, but we are seeing a new more mature Stoner. I think he's going to have a good season, he'll get his mojo back, and we all know how well he goes when his game is on. Ducati may try to find a better replacement for the 2nd spot (Lorenzo, Pedrosa, who knows even Spies or Dovi?), but Stoner will retain his first rider status.

I dont believe it, Stoner flat out said the Honda was .... to ride. I seriously doubt he's going anywhere. Ducati wants him to stay, he's still the #1 plate for the factory. Unless Hayden can keep progressing to a point of replacement. I would think if anyone was going to try and grab stoner is should be Suzuki, they already have a bike thats dam near unrideable, well at least not win-able, toss stoner on and see if he can ride that thing. I just dont see him walking back to HRC and being a Honda boy after trashing them.

With Suppo at Honda, these types of rumors were bound to start circulating. I'm not sure what to make of them though.

It seems completely reasonable that Honda would push very hard to get the rider who has won 20+ races and a world title on an 800cc machine. Suppo defended Stoner during the entire sickness scandal last year so they probably have decent rapport. However, Stoner loathes the corporate side of MotoGP so it seems a bit strange that Suppo would look to Stoner as his #1 option. It's a bit difficult to get sponsors when the team's #1 rider despises PR work.

If Stoner goes to Honda, I think it would be really good for the sport. The storyline would be phenomenal, but it would also help HRC get their bike sorted.

If Stoner does leave, it's going to be really interesting to see what happens at Ducati. I think they might make a play for a certain Italian...........no not him......the other one who gets no love from Repsol Honda.

Spies is looking like he's going to be the odd man out. I wonder if Yamaha will make a play to keep him, can they afford to keep him with Lorenzo and Rossi?

Silly season hasn't officially started - but after reading this post I think my head will explode.

Seriously - Unless Pedrosa wins

the championship - or loses it by two points - he's going to be the odd man out. Spies doesn't strike me as the type to have a tantrum in 2011 if he has to stay at Tech ..... It's still a pretty sweet gig.

Dovi?? Really?? I just don't see him as factory Ducati material. He's going to need to do amazing things this season to get their attention including consistently beating Hayden at the very least. I just don't see it.

I think it'll be very interesting with who goes where next year. If Elias can win the Moto2 title he'll surely bounce right back to GP but where this time? Think he could revive his career on a Yamaha? heh...

Too early to tell which guys are the likely candidates to lose their places though.

I'd imagine Suppo and Honda's first choice to replace Pedrosa would be Stoner. I also imagine that Repsol's first choice to replace Pedrosa would be Lorenzo. Honda brought in Suppo to recruit potential sponsors and help shake up the place. The way I see it, Repsol are holding Honda hostage at the moment. With Suppo in the fold, Honda can theoretically send Repsol packing and find other sponsors. I don't think it's likely, but it gives them options and more importantly, leverage. I think Honda get Stoner in 2011. What happens with Lorenzo, Pedrosa and potentially Spies is very much up in the air.

Just as gossip, but it is being said at Spanish Forums that HRC divorces Repsol to get Elf as mayor Sponsor!!!

Doubtful... too much young talent out there. He'll either stay in Moto2 or go the same

route as Biaggi, Checa, Gibernau, Chili etc. WSBK has become the retirement home for

old Moto GP geezers. Capirossi's next. Life is cruel.

I doubt Casey would leave Ducatti to go to Honda. But i really have no idea at all.

Duke will do a lot to keep him but it will come down to what Casey wants to do. With a seat avaliable at Honda and Duke it will be Casey's call I imagine as I cant see either manufacturer wanting any other rider (bar Rossi) as much as Casey.

I would not be at all supprised if Honda threw the big dollars at Suppo with the sole purpose of attracting Casey to the team in 2011, and if that is there plan fair play to them.

It will be interesting to see but my money is on Casey to remain with the tifosi.
