Stoner back to racing!

I agree that no way could Stoner come out and win any where except PI. But if he could get between any of the rivals and MM then great for Honda.

Could Stoner win PI? Yes. He knows secrets that the others don't. He would need a race before to get up to speed. But let's not forget that Stoner is a savant on a GP bike.

I agree with that .... but then I think back to 2006 where he arrived late for his 1st ever motogp qualy and poled.

Mayhaps he could just jump on it and go fast. Would be an interesting thing to see.

After seeing Marquez at the Austin Press Conference pretending he didn't know about Stoner's request and that one of his mechanics told him about it only yesterday (!), and that anyway he respects Honda's decision... Well, can't help feeling that it has been him vetoing it.

Ahhh, the 'no habla ingles' excuse. :giggle:

Kind of makes you wonder who has been most helpful in developing the Honda now.

I like Marc, but if he did actually have a hand in vetoing Stoner riding, my respect for him will go down. Probably speaks volumes though on how competitive Stoner would be even with the layoff. I hope he does a Wild Card at PI just we can see those two go head to head. I think it'd be a fascinating battle to watch...well assuming there would be one.
