Just got this fae Silverstone Woodlands campsite, Phil, you gonnae find us a pitch at the top o the hill mate!

ATTENTION ALL MOTO GP ATTENDEES

Due to recent unprecedented weather conditions, we will be operating our Campsite Wet Weather Plan.

Some parts of the site are extremely wet underfoot and are unlikely to accept heavy vehicle traffic.

This means the following:

- You may not be able to park your car next to your tent.

- You may be directed to park your car in a separate car park area.

- You may have to carry your equipment on foot to your pitch.

- You may not be able to drive in and out of the campsite during the weekend.

- Campsite shuttles will be in operation to help where possible.

- The site will be muddy.

- You will need to bring wellies and wet weather clothing!

This does not apply to those people with electric hook-up pitches, caravans or those camping in our disabled campsite.

We're working really hard to try and ensure the weather doesn't spoil the weekend and remind you that all other campsite services will be operating as per usual!

But we are not as hard as that fanny who pretends he has an S1000 and wants to go gangsta on everyone on the forum. Sadly, in his other internet alter ego, he wears frilly pink satin dresses, is called Sabrina and likes to call middle aged men daddy.

In actual fact he is a petrol pump attendant in Slough who rides a 10 speed to work in full flouro and a cycling helmet, and lives wi his mum and her "ladyfriend."

Or is berrybullshit.

If I don't get trench foot and lose an ear to frost bite, I will be sorely disappointed.

I intend to wear my beer jacket all weekend. It makes me impervious to all weather conditions

.... .... fuckity ....!

This is not good news!

The amount of equipment I've got get on site is daft!

Got the spot already in my mind and it is on the higher ground,

But folks are gonna be flocking to it.

WTF is Wills gonna do with a mobile home if heavy vehicles aren't allowed on?

This really puts a dampener on things (forgive the pun)

Roll on the racing!

It will make it all better

Hi all

Going to Silverstone on Saturday and Sunday for the first time in about 20 years!! I am taking my 15 year old son. I am a Vale fan - he is a Dovi fan lol.

Can anyone give me any tips on the best places to sit etc? What is the best time to get there

Also - I want to catch the stuff on the main stage - so I guess I will have to take my chair and bags with me and then find somewhere else to sit after?

Finally - any advice on costs of food/programmes etc?

Thank you (and sorry for all the questions!!).
