Hey guys, Travis, the quiet canadian here. Just got home today. Wide awake at 4am local time!

What a ....... blast. Was great to have somewhere to ditch the 17kg backpack and rest for a bit. Pete, the Scapa was divine. Red, you know how to set up a wicked campsite. Even in wind blowing so ...... hard the metal poles were snapped clean in half. Andy, the burgers and meat were perfect.

Watching Crutchlow make a wicked comeback was fantastic. When Cal passed Nicky the stands literally erupted. Everyone was on their feet cheering him on. I wish I had some video of that, but my camera just ran out of juice. I did get a good shot of Lorenzo shoving past Stoner tho. It was amazing being right there.

I'm still in the process of downloading and organizing all my pictures and videos. I'll let you know when I've got something put together.

Thanks again everyone!

Hey Trav,

Great to hear you got home safe and sound,

Hope you enjoyed your time in Italy.

Keep in touch it was a pleasure to meet you and your welcome in my camp anytime!

Welcome Tra5is, hope u stick around. Great u had a memorable time.

Keep the pics and stories coming boys. Good stuff.

Question Rog. What about if I want to pretend on this forum that I was formerly a dirt racer - could I find a suitable stock one to use from Photobucket and noone will know?

Tricky question as i've never tried. My advice is to pm bestialitybarry as he is very experienced on these type of things.

More pics please. (No not of Barry having sex with dogs and apes), I mean of the track.

Dude, did u actually take those pics or did u do like Barry and lift them of google? The one of Bradl is great. And of course, fine shot of Nicky. Thats some impressive tent man. How many rooms is that puppy? Is that Wilskis coach next to it?

Saturday.

Qualifying!

Yeah as you may have guessed up nice and early thanks to the dawn chorus of crows,

Others rose and started to get ready for the wander up to the track,

The weather was cool and grey (not looking good)

Anyway our group has high spirits and we head up to get seated on club for free practice3.

Free practice moto3 went well, we had a couple of spills just in front of us but at least it still wasn't raining.

Now I'm not sure if it was just after moto3 or the GP boys had been out, But at the same time the rabbit was tearing up luffield been harassed by stewards we had a hare doing the same at club. He just appeared at the end of pit lane, bold as brass down the pit lane passed the suprised marshals and into the gravel trap to decide his next move, off he went again onto the track at the second part of vale, totally cut the corner to which I shouted "hes cut the corner" lots of laughter in the grandstand. The hare then continued back onto track and over into the pit entry lane and continued the wrong way up pit lane, I couldn't resist "wrong way up pitlane! 5000euro fine! ask Bradley" more laughter. He then showed a clean pair of heels and tore the wrong way up the track all the full length of vale right up to stowe where he finally made for the grass. So gob smacking to watch I never picked up the camrea to take some pics.

During GP warm up Rossi did a run off on Vale, I think this was the first encounter with the bump, it was easy to see how unsettled the bike became under braking, he controlled it well and ran through the gravel trap. Just as I was answering my fcuking phone! (cheers dave!) so no pics. I think it was at this time I said that bike is trying to kill him, just my own observations. Was gutted over Cal going down but more feared that he would miss his 2nd home gp in consecutive years.

Moto2 started and we hear from Wills and Arrab they are up at the entertainment zone, we watch 15mins or so and head off to meet the guys.

At the zone Arrab was easily identifyable, spotted him at 100 paces, so we went over, Greetings all round and old friends reunited, met Arrabs daughter, lovely girl man, she's a credit to you! Wills is in the paddock and heading our way (slowly hes gone over on his ankle again!)

Pete Debs and Arrab head to the bar and camp there lol.

The rest of us have brought our own ale in so sit at the tables under the open sided marquee and have some meds watching moto 2 finish on the big screen.

Wills makes an appearance and shows us the ankle, its far blacker than yesterday.

The group gathers together again and the Slverstone 200 practice starts.

Its at this time I borrow Wills paddock pass to go and collect the two waiting for me down there (Cheers Shovelhead
<
)

So for the next hour Im not with them.

I get back to the entertainment zone and discover the group had split, Give Wills his pass back and himself Pete Debs and Arrab head off to the hanger straight, My boy and the rest have headed over to luffield so I headed there. Oh yeah my gang were extreamly pissed with me, I'd gone to the paddock with the roving grandstand ticks in my pocket
<
They had to go up with what they had and someone come back down to get the others in, twice
<
.

Oh yeah just before I went to the paddock I recieved a txt from Tra5is and he's landed at the track. We arrange for him to watch quallie and meet up with us later as I was on the move.

We watch moto3 and gp quallie from luffield and head for the international pit straight for moto2.

En route we bump into Arrab, Pete n Debs gone towards the campsite, Wills is in the paddock and hes heading towards luffield because his car is parked up that end. We say our goodbyes and head straight to club instead as its nearest the campsite.

At this point I got friday wrong because now its time for Red Bull Rookies race one and the carnage that ensued (see later part of friday write up)

I txt Trav and he heads in our direction, 10 mins later and he comes up the stairs looking round, I clock him and wait patiently untill hes just about to ask some guy if he was me and call his name, He turns and I laugh, so now our group is complete, we watch the end of the rookies and head off back to camp.

The gang head straight in and I go with Trav to get his wristband for the campsite.

As we return we fid the remaining shelter in a pretty bad way 20mins some vshaped camping pegs and some gaffer tape later and it would last the night.

We got Trav an airbed out, showed him to his humble abode, and cranked up the br-b-q.

Eating and drinking ensued and the freeking rain started again so the 10 of us took our chairs into the big tent living room and continued there, twas quite cosy.

Good conversation good company and good friends. does life get any better than this? I think not!
