Just thought I'd open up a consolidated thread to keep all the silly season moves, rumors, and signings together in one place.

-Confirmed but not yet come to pass: Stoner retirement (but likely)

-Confirmed: Lorenzo signed 2 year contract with factory Yamaha.

-Not confirmed but highly likely: Pedro at HRC. Puig still pulls the Dorna stings here.

-Not confirmed but highly likely: Marquez at HRC (but this can change and wouldn't be surprised if it did given the event no Moto2 title and or Rossi Carmelo horse trades HRC something to get him on that seat. Which could send Marc to a satellite for a year.

-Confirmed but unlikely: Bradley Smith has a signed contract for Tech3, but I think lawyers are hard at work looking for a 'get out' clause.

-Offers confirmed: Ducati have offered Crutchlow a 2 year contract. So far Cal has taken a wait and see approach given the new offers to Dovi for contacts elsewhere.

-Offers confirmed: Dovi offered a factory seat with BMW and Aprillia WSBK. Will he forgo his GP future for a possible Wsbk title? Given his balsy move to Tech3, he might just say FU to GP and move on. Sidenote, what does this mean for Haslam in Wsbk, given that surely they would hang on to their weaker and more marketable Italian Melandri, or possible 3 man factory team?

-Rumors but likely: Hayden stays at Ducati and GP continues to waste his great talent.

-Rumors but likely: Rossi goes on to a Japanese bike, but this perhaps the most anticipated move of this year's rider moves. His agent, Carmelo is hard at work despite denials.

Up in the air: Ben Spies, will he keep his seat or be replaced by Rossi, Crutchlow, Dovi? I think Ben can decide this with a good or bad 3-5 races, but time is running out, Yamaha won't wait until end of season. Hes got the 3 remaining Euro GPs and two US rounds, maybe even Brno to make something happen. But I think a decision will be made by September.

Other mentionables: Abraham, will he continue to lease a ...... CRT disguised as a Ducati?

Honda CRT: Will they have a CRT (being cutely called a "production racer" ready for people to lease next year possibly mixing up the CRT picture?

If, and this is only if, Pol Espargaro wins the Moto2, will Marquez be promoted? Or would HRC pick up Rossi and let Marc pick up another learning year while they see what happens with VR? Just a thought. Or is VR completely out at HRC and regardless of what happens to Marc, he will be on a Repsol Honda next year? Food for thought.

WSBK: Given their offer to Dovi, will more offers come to other good riders, like say DePuniet, Barbera (yes, hate him or hate him, that Pramac Duc is complete ...., possibly worse than ARTs, would he be offered something).

Anything I've missed?

When you get your head wrapped around something, like Haslam's nutsack, you just dont care what you say

Yes, wastes his talent. If Rossi does decide to stay with Ducati, and Crutch gets the other seat, and the Ducati does come good, it will be the blood and sweat of Mr. Hayden that got it there, talentless....pfft...please! Sadly it will be Rossi that gets the credit for turning the lame Duck around.

I guess anyone could get on the lame Duc this year and run at the front huh?....where the .... are my leathers?

Here's some news for ya Jums: A facebook friend posted this:

Possible Insider info. Suzuki MotoGP announcement at Misano. I've heard a Michael Jordan owned team (he runs an AMA team as I recall), managed by Kevin Schwantz with Vale and Spies onboard, sponsored by Pepsi or Gatorade. Heard it hear first

Followed by

Not 5 minutes after I heard, Moto GP Eurosport commentator Julian Ryder hinted at a Suzuki announcement at Misano in his blog on Superbike Planet!! Hmmm

So I looked up the blog here:

http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2012/Jun/120628ruydernotes.htm

When looking at today's times you should be aware that everyone above fifth-place Lorenzo set their time on a soft tyre, worth about half a second. Jorge was 0.191sec slower than fastest man of the day Spies. Take the softs away and there's a whole bunch of guys who can run 1min 35.3sec. Lorenzo used hard tyres for the whole session and ran a bunch of 35.0s, including one on his penultimate lap. While the Ducati riders have got good one-lap pace, they sure haven't got that sort of race pace, and the factory Hondas are chattering themselves into oblivion. Casey actually went two- tenths slower this afternoon than this morning. The geometry changes they tried to cure the problem didn't work: no Sherlock.

Ducati's option on Nicky Hayden's contract for next season runs out after this race. Cal Crutchlow's statement that he has an offer from a factory team prompted questions to Nicky about his situation. The factory have told him that retaining Rossi is their priority and say they have to wait for the Audi takeover to be finalized before they will be able to make him any sort of offer. I'm not sure why that should be since they have made Cal an offer and are trying very hard to keep Valentino, which surely includes the tactic of offering him money. So as from next week Nicky is a free agent.

You saw it here first: Watch out for a bit of a surprise announcement from Suzuki in the near future. May contain the word "Misano."

Looks like Ducati don't give a .... about Nicky after all eh? I'd love it if he went to Suzuki!

Could Suzuki be building a CRT machine to flog off to team Jordan? Could everyone's favourite ....... Ezy be getting ready to show the world his new top of the line CRT team, ie Spies & Rossi? Having Rossi and spies on a thinly veiled factory bike with extra fuel and more engines sounds like something he would love to sink his teeth into.

That would be ideal for Cal if it happens.

If Cal talks his way out of Yamaha to go to Ducati he's a serious dumb-.... Like Rossi all over again.

A lot of people forget how rocky KR's relationship with Yamaha was but he prudently kept his ego in

check and didn't bite the hand that fed him.

Cal beats Ben again this week and Lyn grows a pair and gives Cal the job,but that aint going to happen (the Lyn part) so Cal goes to Ducati with a good crew and realises its not that bad a bike and gets some results and a good pay package.
