CAPI

Well we had a thread asking what would Hayden have to do to keep his seat at HRC.

So it seems only fitting we ask: What would Capirossi have to do to keep his seat at Rizla Suzuki?

My answer: Finish ahead of Vermi. (then proceed in drinking embalming solution)

What say you?

(BTW, the quote that got me was, this would be his "20th year racing". ...., I don't think Lil John would approve, eh...)

He should stay and he will finish in front of Vermi, he's a better rider.....period.
Vermi's contract is up and there are others out there to replace him.

Spies is an obvious choice although Spies attitude in the last race really rubbed me wrong. He had piss poor attitude and you can tell Mladin has broken him. I had already pegged Mladin to run away with the AMA superbike crown this year as I think he just flat out faster, but I didn't expect Spies to wither like he is. Doesn't give me the warm fuzzies for Spies doing well in MotoGP. He goes well at Laguna though and that is where I suspect he'll cement Vermi's ride next year.

Josh Herrin though......Biggest prospect in the U.S. right now I think.....Not Spies

So to answer your question. All Capi has to do is keep on doing what he is already doing. And I suspect he'll get stonger on tracks more suited to the Bridgstones and as the bike developes.

I don't see why there is concern for both Loris's and Chris's future. Suzuki dose not know how to let go of anybody

Loris has a few more years in him for the gp's. I'd want him racing for me (so I could gawk at Mrs.Cap

he has to meet certain performance criteria before its an automatic renewal for 09.
there is a chance that they would re-sign him even if these conditions were not met, as the team and capirex seem to have developed a good relationship and are happy together...

(that is starting to sound like a ....... romantic novel ffs!)

if capirex can carry on and get results, why not? you could do a lot worse in terms of riders and that experience counts for something surely?

Ah well I see ..... the only thing with such criteria is ...... is it worth Suzuki getting a new guy and giving him that extra year to learn?

Reason for Suzuki to let Capi go... $$$$ ( I am always the contrarian)

If Capirex doesn't finish significantly ahead of Vermulen why the extra cost.
I am sure that Barros would development ride for less Cha-Ching than it would cost for Capirex for another year..

I like Capriex and want to stay so I think all he has to do is have two good races and a podium or two (in the dry). Capriex for another year.

Capi needs to go.

Pedrosa makes the Honda about 5kph faster so by that reasoning, Suzuki need a baby chimp in order to win a dry race.

Haha, Lex its not enough that they get a "chimp" but it must be a "baby" too...ah that's f..ing funny.

i don't think there's anyone better than capi waiting to join suzuki at the moment, so i think his job is safe as long as he doesn't get to seriously injured.

Ahemm.... Melandri?!

After all isn't Suzuki a sweet bike, ideal to soothe Desmosedici's shell-shocked veterans?

Might as well be Spies, or how about that young kid Josh Herrin? He's meant to be good.

yeah Herrin isn't ....... around is he...i guess you caught the AMA 600 race... WICKED!

CV is in his last year if he doesn't finish races in the top 5 because the difference between his results and JT's are just too glaring. Capper knows too much about bike development to dump. Satellite team coming next year so who knows what will happen. Maybe Denning is out, Swantz is in? Maybe 3 bikes on the grid maybe 4?

I think CV needs to move up a level, especially if his teammates job is looking secure.
