Well the first test of the season is just a couple of days away....the long wait is over....

Any thoughts on what the outcome will be...besides the normal 4 at the top....?

I am hoping CC will shock a few people by getting some good top 3 times....
I dont expect Redding is going to be fully fit yet....

The Ducati being brought to testing is 'so they dont get fined'...for not showing up at the first official test....otherwise for them it seems the test is a waste of time for them....

Any other thoughts on the test?

Marquez stormed it in last 5 mins to take top spot after VR led most of the day

Miller only a tenth behind Hayden on the same bike. Didn't Nicky win a championship once? How many times has Miller ridden this bike?

Miller will be the talking point of this season.

2nd post here after introduction....lol but I totally agree with you Mental Anarchist!!! Where has Hayden's passion for winning gone?!?!?!? He seems to never be putting in a full effort. Besides last years health problems I still think he lost his mojo somewhere along the way.

I love seeing Rossi back up in the top three with marc and Jorge! Hopfuly we will see some hard battles with Rossi and Marc or Jorge and Marc. Either way, someone needs to rough up Marc and make him actually work for a win!

Miller from yesterday.

Jack Miller #43 (19th, 2’02.807, 59 laps)
“I’m very happy with the result today, we started off where we left things at the end of last year and I’m really happy with how the bike is working.

“The team is working great as always and today we tested many things. Without electronics, I’m still trying to adjust my riding style to fit the MotoGP bike and tomorrow we might be able to start working with some electronics and start making some more steps forward.

“For today we are really happy. We are learning to conserve the tyres better and making a good job and looking forward to the rest of the test.”

Still riding with no electronics? Or still riding without adjusting electronics?

JLo - getting comfy with the new Yamaha
Dovi - flying but what happens once the new Ducati comes, forward or backwards?
Rossi - Slipping a little bit, or I guess he is letting the young ones look good for the day....
Cal - I waking up....but not enough yet....
A.Esparagus - that suzuki isnt as bad as i though it would be..
Redding - must still be hurt...as i said at the start of the thread...
Vinales - Still needs to find another .6 of a second but he get there and more by Qatar
Bautista - surprising considering how bad Marco is doing....
Hayden - best of the new RS Honda...is he going slower than he went last year?
Miller - It is a bigger jump than you thought it would be isnt it... :)
Marco -Just wants to go home or back to WSBK

MM - Still the king...
Dani - someone must have hit the reset button...
Iannone - just switched off brain and went for it as usual...
Rossi - sorted out some of the issue from yesterday
JLo - still happy....
Bradl - keeps impressing as top open rider
A.Esparagus - Not as good as i think he should be
Cal - very disappointing....maybe at sepang 2 we can see more from you.
Maverick - Found nearly second overnight...
Scott - still hurt, will have to push more in sepang 2 as well.
Hayden - he went .006 faster than he did on the 2014 old proddy....lol...
Miller - 3 tenths slower than a former champ on the same bike...not bad for a rookie
Marco - running to get on the plane home....

After watching 3 days of testing, the honda not only have the fastest laps but had the best race simulation (most consistent laps times). JLo was able to sting together a couple fast laps, though Rossi was not. The Ducatis were all over the place, though like last season they are still good for one lap.

It is interesting that as more is learned about the way Marquez rides the bike the more Stoner comes into the conversation. Comments such as "I can see his data but I can't understand what he does" are comments that team mates made and are making about both riders.

The comment was also made that when Marquez turned up in MotoGP he spent a lot of time analysing Stoner's data and the crew had a few key people from Stoner's crew.

I don't think having Stoner testing the Honda for Marquez should be underrated. Having the 2 riders with similarly alien styles who were and are able to blow away the lap times of their competition is powerful resourcing. The fact that they are both working on the same outcome as opposed to doing battle is a stroke of genius.
