paid for package to watch media files on MotoGP site but I can't save files to watch later on TV/DVD or PC whilst on night shift.

have emailed them via sight 3 times now but no reply.

anyone know how to save them?

Try right clicking the video them go to properties then copy the location url and then open up windows media player and go up top to file then to open url...Then paste the location into the url box and watch it through media player once the video have finished simply go to save as.. then save it where ever you want

Hopefully i helped.

I don`t think you can save them. Those greedy fat pigs at Dorna don`t want you to have copies of THEIR races that you can watch over and over again without giving them more money. I don`t know anything about the packages, but can`t you watch the races whenever you want? Or do you have to watch them live? If so, that sucks. Really bad service. And I was considering getting a package next year, thinking I could watch any GP or rider interview whenever I want.

Probaly right that you can't save em due to their greed, ie cannot share with your mates etc.

They do have a back catalogue of races, how long until they expire on the site is anybodys guess??

Well I've got the motogp.com package too and I still haven't found a way to save any of the media content. But it CAN be done. I've seen some motogp.com footage on youtube.com so there are some people out there who've obviously figured it out. Not me though...

I've done it.....can't save the sound though.....
makes for good gif files though....

HOW? HOW? HOW??!?!??!?!?!?!?
No matter if I can't get the sound. The motogp commentary is not that great anyway....

Two ways....Rory's way works really well, but some larger files can't be saved (like the full race videos)....because they stream to you from a server with a rotating destination.
I use a program that records onscrean video..its called snag-it....you can download it online....hope this helps....I use it for small capture, so I can make stuff like my avatar, the gif of hopper kicking the bike......

if you go to my myspace page...click on my videos under my profile image.. I made those videos using clips I got with that program.....

hope this helps

You have to download software that works like a VCR. What you are trying to save is Live Streaming Video. I have nothing to do with the link that I posted above so check it out or just google "record streaming video".

Has it occoured to any of you that this stuff might be illegal? And you`re discussing it in a public forum that Dorna has spied on in the past?
<

I don't think it's illegal, you've paid for those videos and you're not profiting from the copies or giving them free in the net, they are just for personal use.

Kind of agree. It's not like anyone's suggesting hacking into their site. If it's data which I've paid for coming into my machine, then why not? I just want to be able to watch a race from this season in three or five years' time if I want to.
Having said that, if anyone (presumably Dorna) put together a decent DVD collection containing full footage of every race of the season, I'd be willing to pay good money for it. Only the 'season summary' things on offer seem to contain less and less actual race footage every year.

Good point Richo,

But for a paying customer whats the deal.

Wonder if this will help???

Lets you download any embedded media on a webpage ike .mov, .wmv, .swf, .mp3, .mp4 etc

You just click on on the icon at the bottom and it lists all the downloadable content, then right click on the download button, save as.

Note: for downloading off youtube, you save the file as .flv. You then have to download an .flv player (loads on google)

Fair enough. But can I suggest you take a look at the terms and conditions of your packages, just to be on the safe side?

i can save any video off motogp.com with what i said up top.You can also open live races in media player the same way but cant save live.

Cheers The Doc 79 thats another awesome way.

you can richo. if u have a package u can watch the races anytime u want. u just can't download them to ur pc. u can download pictures but no video.

the video is copywrited so if you've found a way to save them to ur pc..... well let's just say ur stealing them. it is illegal. if u get caught u can be prosecuted. now how vigorously dorna do this i can't say. but ur talkin about it on a public forum so u figure it out.

I thought so. if youve got a package then youve got access to the media content round the clock anyway, don`t you? whats the point of downloading it?
