hey im sorry i havent had time to look in forum properly to see if this has already been discussed, but if it has maybe someone could point me in direction of it, and if not, then i wanna hear ur views on it

what do u guys think rossi will do next season,a re we thinkin he will stay at gp and if so will he stay with yam?? or do we think he will move to F1, (personally not a view i support) and i also heard maybe him going to rally driving......

lemme know

The more I look at the series of events the more I think he will stay on two wheels for another season or two. To be the only man in history to win a 125cc, 250cc, 500cc, 990cc and 800cc title would be a major accomplishment. That being said, I think he will stay with Yamaha. He has a very close relationship with the men in charge there and they give Rossi whatever he wants. He wouldn't have that sort of freedom anywhere else. Yamaha for 2007 and possibly 2008 then off to rally part time is my prediction.

Yeah, he could have a lot of class titles there. Like in the old days when they raced 500s, 250s, 350s, 125s, 80s, 50s, 675.59s, -22s and all them. Has it occoured to anyone else that if the Doc wins this year he`ll be the only 990cc orld champ ever?
That`s pretty greedy of him, maybe thats why hes goin .... now, give a title away for charity.

If Rossi is to Stay in MotoGP in 2007 then it's with Yamaha. The F1 thing is looking more and more unlikly now as qouted in the Motorcyclenews (MCN) here in the UK.

i think with him announcing mabey at Mugello would tell me he is going to tell his home fans that he will stay with motogp. Nice piece of wet riding in shanghai today for him too.

I've said it before, I think he's setting up for a big pay rise just like Doohan used to do. He's got the top brass at Yamaha guessing and shitting themselves at the same time in case he leaves. When the salary negotiations come for next year he's holding all the cards, he'll stay in motogp for sure, Yamaha and Dorna will get the chequebook out bigtime to keep him.

glad to know we are all thinking along same lines that rossi isn't going to leave yet, i think he will stay for at elast one more season with yam, and then who knows maybe rallying... i just cant see him going to F1, press suicide, surely??

He is going to be Devloping the 800cc bike in the summer break (uk summer) and I am sure he will want a 800cc title aswell as 125,250,500 and MotoGP (X4)

I don`t think He`ll go rallying while he can still win motorcycle world championships. it`s somthing he likes doing, but it`s somthing you can do when you`re past your prime and retired, like Criville is doing now. While he`s got the youth and phyisical strength to go with it, he should be setting his sights on Ago`s sky high records.

According to an article from The 'Soup, sources near Valentino Rossi say he has told Ferrari that he will stay in MotoGP in 2007. Check out the article in its entirety here.

Apparently Ferrari need to know what Rossi's doing by the next MotoGP round. I hope he stays in MotoGP to challenge the championship as an 800cc class.

According to this (below) he's staying in MotoGP in 2007, but I don't know if this is true or not:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE ("superbikeplanet.com")<div class='quotemain'>Sources very close to MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi say that the reigning world champion won't be racing F1 next season after all.

Sources say that Rossi and his manager informed Ferarri Corse yesterday that he has decided to race MotoGP in 2007.

It's official, Rossi has declined any offers (real or imaginary) to go to Formula 1 according to Crash.net. Rossi says he is still very motivated to win in MotoGP. Now the question remains, will he stay with Yamaha? Check out the story in its entirety here.

Cheers Ooost, wherever he's going the deal is done already, I think he'll stay with Yamaha, question is, 1 or 2 year contract?

Well he's got more competition this year, and next year it'll be even harder for him as people like Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner and others will have improved and may of moved to better teams (Stoner specially).

he's staying in GP.. maybe not yamaha though
