I think you might overrate your influence on Rossi.
What did you do, gave him a "a snowball chance in hell" to win the race her on the forum?
I'm not even so sure he reads it.
Or was a more of a mind control thing

Sorry Tom, I couldn't resist. No real pun intended. Besides, this is for sure throwing rocks in a glass house as I'm neither god in English nor spelling.

OK i'll come clean, i have a little voodoo Rossi in my room and i use it to affect the outcome of races. He didn't fall at Velencia he was pushed.

And in Qatar i was holding him back.

My voodoo hayden is lost in the mail.......................still waiting

Your mail was lost somewhere and it was delivered to me by accident. I was holding the hayden voodoo doll last race!
<

And there I was thinking I was the only one practicing witchcraft around here.

I don't do voodoo though...

So your influence isn't overrated, quite the oposite I underestimated your "Force".

he wrist injury was 3 weekes previous and i am not sure it was a major factor is his performance, i mean i only slightly affected him at donington. And tenth on the grid yes, but he was 6th at the end of the first lap, in a 6 man dice for the lead. So he didn't play any major catch up or have to bridge any gaps, ligtning start though. I think this was an excellent win without a doubt, but not ranking that highly compared to some of the miracles hes pulled.A lightning start from Rossi is a minor miracle in itself!!
<

It's the fact that he bridged that gap from 10th, not the way in which he did it that counts. He still had to pass at least 3/4 other guys who hadn't worked their tyres as hard as he had. There was zero pressure at PI, he could go & push it & if he fell it didn't matter because he had nothing to lose. Whereas in Germany Hayden, Pedrosa & Melandri were right there the whole time & any mistake would most certainly have been fatal. & There was still somewhat of a gap in the championship points, added pressure. Donny 05 was his 6th or 7th (?) win of the year, & he was champion by PI 03. I think those circumstances are important.

You're quite right it was three weeks, but I've broken my wrist & it took me more than three weeks to get my confidence in using it back.

fair point, i hadn't especially considered the pressure of the situation but it does make a strong case. It was part of the reason i chose sepang as one of mine, since he needed every last point he could get. But i still think winning by miles is more impressive than winning a multi rider battle.

another top rossi win that will always stick in my mind because i was there stood right on the finish line (behind the fence of course) was donny 2002.
rossi crosses the line sat side ways on the tank with biaggi really trying to catch him before he crossed the line, pure class

I agree with, Alex I think it was! Jerez '05!

What a last lap, and when it came to the 'crunch', only a man with the determination of, dare I say Schumacher, would have pulled off that move. Just awesome fighting spirit, and a defining moment for the whole season.

I think this is something that seperated Rossi from the other riders, he rides races where pressure doesnt even exist as if his life depends on it. Not many people would ride so hard at race 1 of the championship, and with his other wins like PI 03 he had ne need to take the risks or push too hard but insead he goes above and beyond what most are willing to try.

yeah but u have to remember that after qatar he promised that sete would never win another race. he could'nt have gibbs win the 1st race of the next season now could he.

Oh yes. The curse. Rossi needs someone new to pick on. For motivation and all that

I agree, if there is one thing motogp lacks this year its a proper good rivalry. They always make things a little bit extra good. I hope its Pedrosa who brings it, that could be an entertaining one
