Living the dream in Scotland
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (roger-m @ Jul 5 2008, 01:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>as i said in post #35.
Who knows the secret of the red bikes? Watching Rossi chase Scud proved that the Dukes are very fast.
It could be as simple as set up that is the issue. I remember, in the mid 90s, (dont recall the exact year )reading that Biaggi, (on the 250 Aprilia) used a much sharper steering angle than anyone else on the bike. The team said at the time that until his team mate (cant remember, and I dont google) could run with the same steering angle as Biaggi, he wouldnt win races.
Or, it could be that Casey has no 1 status (quite rightly) and gets the best bits first.
Or he may be a god like genius on a bike.
I dont think anyone who has watched a GP would argue that the Ducati/Stoner package is awesome, and the way he streaks off, and passes so easily makes it look like he has some kind of advantage.
Maybe he does, maybe he doesnt.
My problem with Stoner is his "toys out of the pram antics" when someone follows him. Or beats him. Or out qualifies him.
As Ive always said, it's the bike AND Stoner that are so formidable. Just smile sometimes ya miserable wee git!
