Judging by the quality of your literary skills, you’re probably a DREAMer mooching off the system. Such a pity that your ass will be back in El Shitlandia before the season is over.

Comprende, muchacho?

Your mom wasn’t the most energetic I’d admit, but it’s kinda rude calling her a corpse, don’t you think?

Entertaining stuff lads and sock. Btw syyiin, Krops sends thanks for youer very generous subscriber donation to mottomutters.

Back to the topic, this is truly great news for Yamaha. Afterall championships are over rated, tshirts and subscribers are what motomatters. I already have my tshirt on back order. Unfortunately it’s the same shirt as the last 8 years, it’s stuck on 9 times. If only we could update it to 10, sales would go through the roof. Go Rossi!

2016 was 1 race how many times did MM crash last year in the 1st 6 races, yet won the championship. IMO to put it mildly Rossi has passed his shelf life, he's becoming a bitter old man in MotoGP.

MM crashing is his fault. VR's motor blowing is Yamaha not calculating the effect of the wing downforce on the rear wheel lifting over the crest at Mugello (causing overrev).

Sure, but the eventual points margin is not really all that relevant anyway, given MM clinched the title with 3 races to go after riding a difficult bike with some circumspection particularly given his own previous history, then went for broke trying for race wins in the remaining “dead rubber” races.

Other than 2017, the last time he finished lower than second in the championship was 2013. He's a contender.

2016 would've been close if his engine hadn't grenaded itself at Mugello and was able to put more pressure on MM.

The championship was over at Motegi, Rossi’s blown engine didn’t affect anything. If we are playing it’s, Lorenzo would have finished 2nd in 16 had he cared about that usless position had he not tossed it at Motegi with a handful of laps trying to keep Marquez from clinching title. 17 should have been the year for Rossi to show something , no Lorenzo to kick his ass at Yamaha, a young inexperienced teammate, Honda struggling in the first half of the season and what did he do , a one win season and a 5th place finish in the championship.i don’t know if you have noticed but 0- 1-2 win seasons are the norm for Rossi the last 7 years. He is on a bike that virtually guarantees a top finish and if you average 3-4 place finish’s you will finish high in the standings. Last year a fifth bike started winning races and Rossi dropped to 5 th. If Lorenzo enters the fray, Rossi will be lucky to repeat last year. He is points racer on a top bike which means he will always appear to be in contention.

You mean like Rossi did?

Definitely a valid interpretation, but when Rossi was there in the points standings, MM seemed seriously tense (recalling the rancor after 2015). His riding improved markedly after Rossi fell behind, and required Rossi to be the one taking risks to catch MM.

It's all ultimately speculation, I concede.

Who cares?

Not like Rossi was going to beat MM to the title in 2016.

The only riders to give MM a run in the title battle were Lorenzo and Dovizioso.

Rossi is never going to because he chokes under pressure and responds by trying to run competitors off the track or kicking them off their bikes.

2016 would have been his year, but his engine at Mugello blew up and took away a top 3 finish and the win at Assen who ended up in a crash, so yeah. He could have won in 2016 too. And last year was up and down. Crashing at Le Mans, injuring himself twice and missed Misano. So yeah, he is still up there for the title and shouldnt be counted out.

And u think rossi will just slack around not aiming to win the title? He has shown that he has the pace of doing it both in 2016 and 2017.

He really hasn't. 2016 Marquez clinched the title with 3 races to go, 2017 he wasn't in the title fight by mid season. Those two years were when Marquez and the other Honda riders were struggling with problems on the Honda. Now the Honda is looking sorted and the Yamaha is the one with issues.
