This is quite suprising, bwin - the dudes who pile loads of money into motoGP advertising has Hayden 8-1 to win next season:

Maybe this is a good time to run through predictions for the 07 season:

1. Rossi
2. Capirossi
3. Hayden
4. Pedrosa
5. Melandri

I think its time to dig up the 06 predicions we did, see who came on top!
 
With odds like that, it'd be worth a flutter on Melandri, Hopper and Barros in my opinion, don't forget all the bikes are equal, no year old bikes this year, Barros and Hopper's experience should come into play, and Melandri, he's got a title in him.

As for overall predictions, mine's for Loris Capirossi.
 
I think odds are simply based on mathematical calculations and previous performance. In this case, it's only natural that Valentino should at this point be on top. What I don't understand is why Dani should be on top of Capirex and Melandri. Hayden has only won a tiny handful of races. That doesn't help. Would be interesting to check what the odds were on him winning the '06 season this time last year.
 
I can't believe Melandri is 18-1. That's got to be worth £20 for the craic!

I rekon OJ is work a shot on individual races, especially when it pi$$es down...........depending on how the Kawasaki goes in the Jerez test of course

In what way suprising, to high or to low?
To me the ods seems on hayden seems to be on the lower side. I'm more suprised about Melandri and Stoner. Melandri has proven that he is up there and it is a reason why everyone were sniffing on Stoner this season. The minute he stops crashing he's right there in the leader pack.

A big uncertainty is ofcourse how the tires will work. Right now it looks like Bridgestone might have the edge but then again this is only testing and further development and full race conditions can change things.
 
I already did my flutter bets, 3€ to Vermeulen when it was 501 to 1.

and 5€ to Elías.

Now they have lowered the Suzis odds and others , not worth it anymore (well maybe Elías and Edwards).

The Alex Barros is quite amusing, they only pay 40 to 1 for a finished guy on a D'Antín bike.
 
Well if I could bet I would put a good bet on Rossi being champion, a medium bet on Hayden and a small bet on Pedrosa and Melandri.

me i will go for a safe bet. 1.75..1 sound pretty good. i bet on rossi a few years ago at 2 to 1, and it felt good colecting my winnings.
my advice is ..never bet against the doctor, this year was a one off.

How the hell can you say that, Nicky Hayden is actually God, Rossi is ...... Rossi will cave in under pressure from the Mighty Hayden, he always does.

Rossi had a few off-races. The Yamaha is what went back to being normal ...... Rossi still rode like a champ, the bike let him down.

Hayden is the champ and he deserved it. Just saying that to make sure I'm not RossiBopping.
