Does anyone else think that Sete’s acceptance of Valentino’s handshake at the end of the race at Le Mans was not his real intention and that it was for the media/public?

It was as if he hesitated first only then to think, ‘I better had shake his hand, it will look good for me’

Or am I looking into it too much and Sete genuinely wanted to bury the hatchet between himself and Valentino?

they was always friends before qatar last year but not that now, thought sete didnt really want to but respect for that and fair play..

Hats off to both of them for being big enough to try not to make anything more out of this thing than there already is. I didn't see the handshake because in America we have to watch MotoGP on "Speed" so podiums and press conferences are usually bypassed to make room for NASCAR programming unless an American makes the podium. However I will say that I am sure it is all publicity for Gibernau to shake Rossi's hand because if he did not he would look like Biaggi when Biaggi and Rossi was the rivalry and honestly, who wants to be compared to Max Biaggi when we are discussing the premier class?

yes it does look like a bit of a show from sete, and i bet his face would of been a picture under that visor !

top finish though all i can think of is that his tyres must of took some time to kick in, but he just came from no where,am i allowed to say that he probably give rossi a fright ?

Yes Doc

I would be hesitant to say he gave Rossi a fright. He certainly gave Rossi incentive to go ahead and set the fastest lap on ragged tires and get moving. But honestly I don't think anyone at the moment scares Rossi. Even if Gibernau were to take that win obviously Rossi would have been bummed out but look at the past, Gibernau has won races but in the end Rossi still owned the number 1 plate.

The hand shake on the bike or on the podium? I need to get my hands on a copy of the end of the race cause from what I saw SG extended his hand at the end of the race! might have beent he camera angle, my timing or the beers
<
but thats what it looked like!

Hey a bit of rivalry keeps it interesting, its a bit bland with no friction, kinda like F1

<

And I rekon that Mr. Rossi had a huge:

under his visor too.....while Mr Gibbers was more like:

i guess he forced Gibber's to shake hands he knew if he held his hand out Sete would have too take up the offer or take alot of stick
<

maybe they should fit helmet mikes would have been interesting to hear what was said at that moment

I watched BB2 and Charlie Cox said to Steve Parrish Sete is not going to shake his hand he HATES him...
