Revolutionary front suspension

It works on that particular bike because it is a Ducati 2v L-twin, it would be hard to make that work on a modern inline 4, or evan a 4v Ducati twin. I have always though that incorporating the suspension into the neck would be a better solution, because it would still be telescopic but would eliminate the use of 2 front dampers.

Explain, engine configuration, size of engine?

An old mate of mine, sadly now deceased, used to race one designed by Andy Stephenson and nicknamed the asp. It was fitted with a genuine factory YZF 750 motor and went really well. The lean angles and late braking he used to get up to at oulton park were seriously impressive.
I believe his was the ASP2, it was around 1997 when he ran it, among many other exotic bikes he owned.

look where the front shock is, or a bike like an R6 or CBR600 thats where the cylinders and head are. with the 2v ducati engine, there is a nice little gap there to mount a shock. also its worth noting that the 2v engine is an air cooled motor, so no radiator, part of that suspension is in the way of where a radiator is normally monted.
