Reading between the lines

CV is no fool. I've always liked intelligent riders - this may manifest in the way they handle the public the press, or their peers; their racecraft; developmental skills, capacity to learn - etc etc occasionally, in the shape of Vale -you encounter all these qualities and more in one rider. Similarly, Chris has exhibited many admirable qualities during his career. I think had Chris ridden for Repsol Honda during the 990 era, his accomplishments would have been significantly greater than they were at Rizla Suzuki - which has arguably stymied his Moto Gp career and aspirations to date. CV has always shown maturity, and has always struck me as being one of the more cerebral riders out there. He deserves to stay in Moto GP, although I agree with Austin's assertion that he was originally of Superbike stock, and it would be as interesting to see him back in that Championship now that it is thriving once again, as it would to see him park his arse on a competitive Moto GP ride. I'm not sure I can say the same for JT, because I simply don't think he was capable of making the transition.

As I said - CV is no fool. Anyone that can win on their first outing at Laguna Seca is no mug.

Would be great to see CV on the Yamaha SBK and win the Championship allowing him to get sucked back up into MotoGP to partner Spies on the factory Yamaha in 2011 when Rossi retires and Lorenzo gets his arse handed to him on a platter by his team mate Stoner at Red Bull Honda.

I know its fantasy but one can wish for Aussies and Yanks to get the best rides in MotoGP considering we are the best riders!!!!!!!
