RC211V VS M1

agreed richo, one thing thow the m1 grunt is not far off never really has bin, check out max in 2002 big straights was not bad at all he just fell front end being chased by rossi, if yam got that extra bit of grunt might be a few more chatter problems maybe..

it's definitly the rider

so get of honda's sack and stop tea baggin hrc

rosi can win on honda or yamaha
.... rossi could win on a harley

everyone knows how i feel about honda ......s anyway

Right now I think Rossi might be better off on a Honda... or maybe even a harley

That's the truth of it. Nobody else can make the Yamaha do what he wants like Rossi, If Stoner or Pedrosa were on Yamaha's they'd be chasing Edwards' back wheel.

It's both the rider AND the machine. I'd like to see what would be happening if Loris and KRJR had been on Hondas from the start of 4stroke GP's. Of the 'old brigade' they are the most talented riders out there and arguably as fast on their day as Valentino.

Put the young guys on anything other than a Honda and you can forget it. The Honda is THAT good and anyone on anything else that can race close to the front is a hero IMO.

i'd love to see this happen!

but i don't think he's that big of a gambler.
<

i think he is a total gambler, i mean think abou the decision he took to go to yamaha, he didnt no if gerry, alex, matteo etc would follow him, and we all know the situ yamaha were in before he moved there

yah but he new the yami had potential.....& i'm sure the offer of the world did'nt hurt either. plus he wanted to prove it was his talent more than the machine. think he coulda done the same with the kwacker or suzi ? hmmmmm would sure be interesting

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Wes @ May 11 2006, 05:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Maybe Kwasaki or Suzuki should make him an offer then
do u think he would take either ?

Not good enough for Rossi, though.

Suzuki and Kawa are both too poor to get Rossi. Neither of em care about the motoGP enough to sink a Rossiload of cash into their teams. I think Kawa are thanking the gods theyve held onto Nakano this long and Suzuki are in a similar postion with Hopper.

And Skid made a great point about the RCV, it`s the only way to go for Rookies. None of them could do what theyre doing if they had the less powerful or worse handling bikes of Caparossi, Nakano, Rossi and Hopkins

I think the sound of the RCV over the M1 is better. The RCV sounds great well they all do but the RCV sounds the best I think

Yeah, I think the RCV is the best sounding two wheeled machine in the world.... My old Suzi 250 with megaphone pipes came close though.

Well if Vespa had 250 squillion dollars to build a 990 they could probably do a decent job, too.

well he sure would be doin a hell of a lot better than he is.... at the very least!

the rc211v is just a totally forgiving bike, to itself and rider,to my knowledge cant remember when an rcv chewed a tyre like the m1 did, they are still having issues at the moment with Danni's weight to bike though, and it looks like they will have to try to add weight in places to compencate for his lack of weight,as 7 and a half stone and 260bhp,do not go down well together, hence the front wheel seems to have a problem staying on the floor when the power goes down.?
<

After China I doubt Dani is really having that much trouble. Can you imagine what he`d be like on an M1 or GP06? I`m not saying it`s all the RCV, I mean Elias and Crashey are both on RCV`s and he`s doing better than them, but I bet having that honda between his legs helps
