PI Ticket sales up 400%!

He was on the front of the Sydney Morning Herald today.

He's always in the paper somewhere now, mostly the journos use photos from years ago, i saw one where he was wearing KTM leathers. .... halfwits.

PI have built a new grandstand or something to accomodate the raise in ticket sale i believe ... or theyve built a new something. Whatever they built they're gonna need a few more....

It's more like they're up 200 %. Still that means double the number of people going this year. Stoner's been getting plenty of coverage in the major papers and on TV. He's on 60 minutes tomorrow night, he had an interview on RPM today - a popular local programme on the 10 network about motorsport. I'm sure it's really gonna build up over the next few weeks coming up to PI!

Stoner gets publicity, when hes doing well or when theres a big crash in one of the other classes :S

Our country SUCKS at promoting/encouraging MotoGP! If it doesnt invlove sweaty men in short shorts chasing after a leather ball and groping each other, then it doesnt make news too often im afraid..

Hopefully with three successful Aussies involved it will only get bigger and stronger from here, those ticket sales are impossible to ignore.. We need to start putting more money into bikes, even start some junior teams in 125/250/WSS/WSSTK categories, garh, i can dream cant i

patriotism is the new word for glory hunters, i bet duke video sales have also shot up so all the newbs can now talk like they have followed for years, or am i a cynic

bums on seats is good for the sport at the end of the day ,i just wonder if all these aussies will still be here next season when stoner goes the way of hayden,his"so called" fans seem to have vanished of late.

We are still here,just havnt had much to cheer for this year and you havnt been trashing him as much lately.

Look its a minority sport like motorcross,sprintcars SBK, etc..
The good ole local media seems to embrace riders when they are doing well, otherwise they fail to get mentioned..I remember a few years back when Chad Reed won the 04 ama SX title there was some media attention. The big news in sport at the moment, well always is Rugby League, Rugby and AFL...........Anyway,

Ive got P.I tickets sitting right next to me, that going to be huge!!
