There's still hope.............from Stoner.

Although I'm rooting for Chris to at least get on to the podium.

i'd prefer chris for a podium ... but ill be happy if stoner were to get one or was to win it....

would be even better if i were in melbourne rite now ... but you can't win em all.

Chris may struggle to beat his PI performance last year.
<
I hope he pulls another Laguna, though. without the tyre-sukuzi-hot weather bit.

meant to be quite windy and chilly down there for the weekend ... but thats what tim "knobbly-knuts" bailey is saying .... if so that could work in bridgestone favour with the track temp. and such

<
Bridgestone will need a bit more than island breeze. They either need a monsoon or a Capirossi. Or both.

^from what i've read from most of the bridgestone runners this w/e .... the 'stones have made improvements and have gained alot of rear end grip .... then again how long have they been saying that for??
<

I believe the Bridgestone improvement, look at the top riders. de Puniet on Bridgestones, Capirossi on Bridgestones, Hayden on Michelins, Gibernau on Bridgestones, Nakano on Bridgestones. Bridgestone runner occupy four of the top five places in the opening day of FP.

By the way, what the fck is with de Puniet leading them all by a fair margin? Hats off buddy.

^ hahaa .... oooooo Ooost said a naughty word

suzukis are struggling as normal ... they dont have any data of the track coz Kenny crashed during free prac. last yr and they didnt test there at the beggining of the year ... they're just about the only ones letting the brigdeys down atm

Just read in Julian Ryder's latest installment that de Puniet's time was set with a Q while Capirossi's time was on lap 15 of a 17 lap simulation. It should be a good battle at the front with Cappers, Gibbers, Hayden and Rossi.

As far as Pedro goes, word from the track is his broken big toe on the opposite leg is causing a lot of discomfort and that's why he's so off the pace.

lets just hope the Kawi's slow up on the "Q" tires or we might see Randy put everybody in the kitty litter in turn 1!

Where (insert url) do you get that?
Thanks.

Did they also say that Hayden ran on q-tires? Because he did. Came out and did two laps at the end. Dropped his best lap time with more than half a second on the second last lap. Last lap was a 1:51. Unless he dial in his bike tomorrow, don't expect him to stay up among the 4 best after qualifying.

Right now this look like a Capirossi, Rossi, Giberneu fight. De Puniet look quick but for some reson I expect him to fade as things develop to morrow and on sunday. There is also another Kawa up there and they do have a fading tradition.
Pedrosa might come back and join the battle though and Melandri might improve.
If they both do the title battle can get really interesting.

De Puniet is said to have ran Q tires so no go for him.
Hayden might've used a Q but he has always ran well in this track so I expect him to run up there in the race.

Hey, maybe they're all doing Q's now in case it rains and they don't run a session tomorrow lol!

they probably all learnt a lesson in sepang! haha

is there a limit to how many Q-tyres they're issued??? ... i did read something about it, but i can't remember if it was a current restriction or one that could be imposed in the futureeeeeeeeeeeeeee
