Are you ....... kidding me? Not a chance in hell I am clicking this link. Its probably a bigger scam than Rossi's career. He had his last win 4 years ago. This is the typical disgusting behavior I expect from Rossi followers. I can't wait for them to be gone more than Rossi.

The way he deserves? There has been no bigger rascal in the series, his unethical and unsportsmanlike behavior is unprecedented. People tend to forget, this is programmed into them by Mother Nature. But if you look at the record of all his off-track intrigues then there can't be any respect for this individual. Besides, at least one of his titles was on superior machinery (traction control), some other titles were against weak competition.
In my eyes Marc has already surpassed his achievements, Marc has always been up against fiercest competition.

I think the reason you both hate the fans so much is because you’re polar opposites through and through. I can never understand either extreme and the funny thing is how convinced they both are of their POVs, as I am of mine. :p

It is because they are not fans. Thats why I called them followers. Rossi has fans and I respect them. But people who sign a petition to let Rossi win is my case and point. These people follow him blindly. He can do no wrong even though he is a vicious individual who has tried to villainize his competitors. They listen to what he says and grab their pitch forks without any reasonable thoughts of the truth. He is a nobody and has been irrelevant for many years yet he still controls the fate of riders and it is sickening to any true fan of the sport. Anyone who defends him proves to me they know nothing about motogp.

A journalist asked the riders in the press conference if they'd be willing to let Rossi pass to get his 200th podium. They all pretty much said Rossi would not want to get his 200th that way and they'd let him pass after the checkered flag and be close to him on his glory lap. Of course Jack being Jack said something to the effect of "Well, he's got lots of money and I'm a business man so I'm open, let's talk." I like Jack's sense of humor.

Also, apparently Steve Day is moving on from commenting on MotoGP races but he wouldn't give details.

Crawl back under your rock little man. Tell me one rider he has ever pardon in any shape or form on the track? No one should bend over backwards for him. He needs to earn that win if he wants it. And when I say earn it, I mean be faster than the current motogp riders.

Exactly! Of all the great motogp champions. He's the only one to win the easiest way due to lack of competition, Saturday night special, superior equipment and last but not least disrespectful intimidation of other riders. ..... in the armor started with Stoner followed by Lorenzo.

On a side note. He is wanting Honda to change their mind and give him the NSR500. I guess he forgot how he screwed over Honda when he fled to yamaha. I hope they give him the same answer as back in 03/04.

Nice response by the forum to this spam thread [emoji23][emoji41]

I am an aging Luddite, but regardless won't click on anything like the link in the OP.

I dislike Valentino's off track shenanigans and manipulative behaviour as much as anyone, but can still acknowledge that he was a great rider. Even Stoner in his retirement seems to have come to some accommodation with him, realising that they validate each other, a position which Valentino seems to have come to as well. I could see the same happening with Lorenzo. Not MM though, on either side, for which I admire MM. He is going to do everything possible, including having eye surgery if necessary after his latest problem, to surpass Valentino's records.

He had some skills but he also received some advantages, at least early in his career.

The off track shenanigans, manipulative behaviour, mind games and use of his fan base to attempt to intimidate and disempower rivals, overwhelms my appreciation of his riding skills.
I am unable to appreciate or view favourably one who has consistently displayed such behaviour.

I too admire Marquez's refusal to submit and on track domination of him.
I also admire Jorge's strength and refusal to submit whilst being within the same team.
The pressure on him would have been immense but head to head he also withstood and came out on top.

If the other riders have to slow down to get old Rossi his 200th podium, it's gonna be a loooooong race.

LOL. When the riders in the press conference said they'd let Rossi pass after the flag, I was thinking they'd have to wait a while for him to get there.

To the OP, that’s the funniest thing I’ve read so far today. Though the day just started, it might come out on top at then end.

Troll much?

Rossi in top ten for Q2.

We remember Rossi used to have "miracle Sundays". When he was in mid pack during Friday and Saturday and then gained miracle speed in the race day. What kind of miracle was it? Why did it suddenly stop? Was he caught and told to stop it? Did he throw the caution into wind for his last race?

He reduced the combined weight of him and the bike by not taking along his bottle of Geritol, his Senior Citizen shopping discount cards, his cheap drugstore reading glasses, his hot water bottle, his bottle of stool softener, his false teeth, his orthopedic shoe inserts and his medic alert button (Help me, I’ve crashed and I can’t get up!).

The riders already did when they allowed Rossi to pass them in Valencia 2015 like Moses parted the Red Sea . Sure most pretended to put up some kind “resistance” except Petrucci who couldn’t wait to get out of Rossi way, but they knew better not to get the wrath of the yellow custard fans.

But yes Rossi would want to get his final podium this way. Just a hunch!!
