Hang on, this is Honda. They have the resources to develop bikes for both riders. And they have done so. Pedrosa needs a slightly different frame and geometry because he's a short arse and can't reach the handlebars on Hayden's bike. Therefore Honda had to build a special bike for him. Did anyone consider Hayden's ability as a test rider and communicator - maybe it is/was more a case of he can't tell Honda what he needs to go faster because he doesn't know!
I have to laugh at the conspiracy theories of how Honda are screwing over Hayden - what possible benefit could that have to Honda?
Back on topic - Pedrosa is not going to Kwak. He wants to re-sign for a year and not for three, as noted elsewhere. How else could he negotiate a bigger pay packet? Tthe Kwak story is just idle pitlane gossip.
Is it a "conspiracy" when the Honda engineers admit that they designed the bike for Pedrosa? Did you see the Assen GP? If you have it recorded, go back and listen to the opening commentary. I know saying it’s a “conspiracy” sounds more sensational, and some may think using this word lends some credibility, but the real question is—is it true? Well there is no doubt, it’s not even speculative, it’s truth. It's easy to say it’s a "conspiracy" but first do your homework. The bike was in fact designed for Pedrosa. Now that's a hell of a thing for the current champ to be told, wouldn't you say?
Of course Honda has all the money and resources in the world. However, racing is not their only enterprise. Also, if they are so rich, couldn't they also get the parts down in a timely manner to their satellite teams? Yes, they "could" develop for two different riders, but after all, the team is based out of Spain, with a Spanish title sponsor, oh and their heir apparent is Spanish, not to forget that the man behind the string is Alberto Puig, uhm, also Spanish. Where do you think their loyalties lie? Please man, this is the reality of the world. It's not the purse that makes the difference, its who's hands that purse is in.
Surely as you said, it just Pedrosa and his err "manager" just using the Kawasaki theme for leverage.
