I would kill to get the 990s back.

24 liters of fuel and a top speed limit. I don't care, just bring back the beasts and banish these pathetic little 800s.

I'm there.

I've commented before how ridiculous it is that in the proddie world series they are racing bikes almost half a litre bigger than these emasculated mini moto's that have reduced the blue ribbon class to a farce.

Nice to see that Nicky and Casey can still make 'em dance

Funny thing is that nobody complained that the 500cc bikes emasculated the series when they were at times half the capacity of the WSBK bikes (that isn't to say I disagree with your sentiment)

Dude! The 500s were 2-strokes - the absolute mother of the beast.

And that is what I am saying.

People seem to think that the 990 were the beast to end all beasts, but as a child of the two smokes I cannot disagree more. The beasts were the bikes and riders of teh 500cc era where simply to finish a race was an achievement never mind race with the control of many of that era.

IMO, the four stroke age is very sanitised by comparison

I agree with what your saying about the sanitization of the sport, and its getting worse!!

What would be the response if this kind of saga were to happen today
