Yamaha Factory Racing and Camel end their MotoGP partnership

Following Camel’s recent announcement, Yamaha Factory Racing would
like to express its thanks to Camel and Japan Tobacco International for
their partnership and support over the 2006 MotoGP season.

Our thanks go out to all those involved in the project; they have
formed an important part of our team over the past year.

It has been a great honour for Yamaha to work with such an experienced
sponsor and Camel’s enthusiasm throughout the season has been greatly
appreciated by the entire Yamaha Factory Racing Team and the Yamaha
Motor Group.

no more Camel curse.

i hate tobacco sponsors in sport.

I hope its nastro azzuro.... please dont be vigin or airwaves they are the worst looking bikes in BSB.

I hope it's Nastro Azzurro, they did great before so why not again? No more yellow camels on the track anymore...I guess it's back to the boring blue bikes again.

They didn't say they'd end their MotoGP sponsorship, so maybe they'll move to another team instead?

Me, I agree with Roger, I'm glad to see another tobacco sponsor gone.

Telefonica are rumoured to sponsor Yamaha, and some Malaysian television/electronics company are meant to be going for the Gresini Honda team. So no more Fortuna either...

I hope its telefonica.. that'll be one sweet livery

I can't think any team with the name Valentino Rossi on the garage will be struggling for potential sponsors, possibly some very big ones too, so lets see what happens..

EDIT: One name i have heard linked with Rossi on many occasions in the past is McDonald..

I just got the same press release that yamahamer posted.

I'm in two minds, their either un-viel a massive super sponsor - or just run as team yamaha.

i can't see telefonica sponsoring a team without a spaniard in it.... maybe rossi trumps that. or maybe edwards is spanish & we just did'nt know it.
