Philadelphia-suburbs
Hey everyone,
Obviously I am new here. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
I ride a Ferracci Nero (custom Ducati 900ss), Yamaha Blaster (quad) and my car is a 2004 Subaru STi.

I've been a rabid bike fan since I was a kid but I pick up riding at 19.

I am 32 years old and my favorite color is blue...

Did I leave anything out?

Nice garage collecting you have there mate..............what do you like driving/riding the best?

Have fun!
Ben.

Thanks everyone...

What's my favorite...that's a tough one. It really depends on my mood.
I really think the Duc and the STi are a solid tie. They are both such an amazing rush to ride.

Whats up Doc? Good to see another American on the board, i love america.... never been but.. love america, allways wanted to go but.. never been.

Its also quite refreshing to see your european(or non-american really) taste in bikes and cars. Honestly tho, is there any good roads around there to have a blast on? Do other americans make fun of you because you have'nt got an american bike or car? Im really interested as to how popular MotoGP is over there, and how popular european cars n bikes are too.

Us Brits seem to get the impression that most yanks are into their own motors and motorsport, but when Laguna was on TV a few days back, Matt Leblanc was being interviewed on the grid and said "motogp is really big here" i get the impression that its only big in the US biking community, not the US in general, which over here, its popular as a sport, especially in Italy and Spain.

Any thougts would be great, Thanks, Ron.

Hmmm good questions....

Foreign cars (European and Japanese) are HUGE here. American car companies are really making money from SUV's and pick-up trucks. American cars don't have too great of a reputation for reliability compared to the imports. There are however large groups who will only buy American products. European cars are everywhere and are extremely well thought of.
Motorcycle racing is not big in the US at all. I attend the Daytona 200 every year for the past 12 years and the attendance is just ..ok. The attendance for Bike week which is the week leading up to the race is monstrous. Every year more and more people attend. The number of bikes there is always unreal. Yet only a small number attend the races. Hell I don't even know if they know there are races. The parties are outrageous though...

The only Americans who make fun of me for my car are my co workers who own BMW's. They laugh at my big spoiler...that is until it snows and I power slide around their rear wheel drive status machines.

There are plenty of twisty, windy roads around. Traffic congestion is becoming a problem. Urban sprawl is the culprit. There aren't too many roads to really play with high speed runs. We have State highways (turnpikes) that you can really go quickly but the state troopers are always near by. The North East United States is the most populated part of the United States so the traffic is going to spoil some terrific roads. The majority of the US is much less congested.
