New Regs so far for 2013

Cool. U and Geonerd have something big in common, u should hook up and post pics and stories. Geo has been threatening to put it together and show up on my doorstep for Laguna. Maybe u both can come out and exchange GPz stories around the campfire.

That would be cool. I could tell the one about how I almost ended up in the woods because my 140 pound frame couldnt get that heavy beast to turn in. They were sleds but I'll never say a bad word about one of my first loves.

It would be nice to see a turbo again. If Geos bringing to Guna then Im in

I had the GPz900R. Was a great bike and very fast in its day. Only thing with it was you could not leave it on the side stand in the rain. If you did the water would collect buy the cam-chain cover and flood the spark plug hole. Was a right pain in the arse.

I have my own GPz story. Its the first bike that really woke me up to the existence of sport motorcycles. It was at the dealer with my brother who was looking for a GPz 500 that I noticed in the show room a Ducati Paso, and I've never been the same.

That Paso was ....... gay. It looked like a Tron motorcycle. I never rode one but I heard they were slow as ....

I like the fact it was a full fairing, with the mirrors and turn signals incorporated into the fiberglass; as well as the wind deflector. Check out the tank seamlessly merging with the rest of the fairings. The intakes and the rear cowl features made appear in motion while at rest. It was ahead of its time in appearance. Plus, I like Tron. I never rode one either but slow is a misconception. I regularly use to school fools who were riding a 1K at the track, while riding around them on my bone stock 600s or RM450. Nothing in 1988 looked this bad ....

I had (in this order)

GPZ1100 (it was used and a dog)

GPZ900 a beast, set up with Kehin race carbs. But I hated the friggin' Darth Vader cowling piece.

Ninja 600 (first year model was really a piece of crap - worst transmission in the world) Shoulda bought a Hurricane.

And that cowling used to beak the welded bracket off the headstock. I welded a larger bracket on and changed the fairing for a twin headlight after market item.

I dont know if ive ever seen an 1100 or a a 900. Its been a while since Ive had GPZ's on my brain but I dont remember even knowing they made them in that displacement here in America.

So Geo. whats the ETA of that turbo. Are we gonna see her at Guna next yr?

Edit to say I just googled images of the 1100. I remember now. What a beast. I defo dont remember the 900 though
