Does anyone here actually like it? Or I am one of the narrow-minded few who thinks it's very boring and over-regulated?

no u are not alone. it is boring. really all u have to do to get the full affect of nascar is watch the highlites. u see all the crashes & the finish & thats all u need. just like any 4 wheeled racing. really with the exception of world rally & the dakar, another rally, 4 wheel racing is dull imo.

I disagree and actualy am very fond of car racing. My favorite is WRC though. The problem i find with NASCAR, from the small amount i have seen is that they crash too much. I like the close racing and i think it can get exciting, but when theydrive under yellows for so long because every duel ends in a spin, i get frustrated.

i watched all of the daytona 500 and i was slightly interested, but then again i had the in-car view with the team radioand stuff going on.

rooting for montoya, thats the only reason im paying attention to it this year

The cautions are planned. That's why the racing is so close. Just watch, I bet you will see a car spin, not hit anything, and get back underway without leaving any debris or fluid behind...only to see the caution come out. NA$CAR is not racing; it's a reality TV show. The full course yellows, which are used even on road courses!, serve to keep the cars close together (making NASCAR fake, not actual racing).
