I'm more than likely wrong but i thought 440cc was the largest with side feed injectors unless re-flowed.  Not sure where in the world you're based but i have an RB320. It was a uk special edition built by prodrive to commemorate the late great Richard burns Its based on a type uk 2007 STi and limited to 320 units. I have had my engine forged and the block pinned to strengthen the notoriously fragile 2.5 L. I have had mine mapped with the EcuTek RaceRom software. I'm running a quite conservative tune at the moment with around 380 bhp and 440 ft/lb .

No you can buy 550cc 'Pink' side feed injectors from STi, they are a good upgrade on a 2L.

I'm in Aus, but I looked up the RB320. Very nice car, definitely the best shape of the new age Impreza's. Nice power figure, the reality is you don't really need anymore than that for the road, hard enough not getting arrested with the 270hp mine has haha.

very true mate. I had a go in a 550+ bhp hawkeye (that what they call my shape in the uk). To be honest it was way to much for the road but that didn't stop me wanting it lol.  My power goal is around 420 bhp using the smallest turbo i can achieve that power with so i maintain great early spool. I'm running 1.65 bar on the IHI vf43 which is about maxed out before it just makes hot air. I should be able to achieve my target with the standard airbox and top mount intercooler. Because of the rarety of my car i'm trying to keep it standard looking to the eye.

my mods so far are

Mahle forged  powerpak pistons and

rings

ARP 11mm centre ground cylinder studs

Cylinder location liner pinning

Rog, if I ever make it to the UK, we are going for a ride bro!

You got it bro. Jumkie has been out in it a couple of time. First time tho was only making about 320bhp and the second time i was still running it in so only had 0.5 bar of boost. Other little trick bits i have are flatfoot gear shift, launch control and downshift auto blip. All part of the RaceRom.

I really need to get down to the IOW via Southampton and meet the King n Queen.

Especially now there is an ex RNLI rib to play with.

But a blast in that beast, me turned pure white no doubt, would sure set the mood for the water ;)

Hey Tom, is the guy beside you wearing a hoodie OVER his leathers?!??

Yes that was at Brands Hatch in February this year. 0 degrees C ambient temperature, it even managed to snow on us a little bit

Like riding in Canada!

I wouldn't wish that on anyone!!  It was even worse at Snetterton in March, I had to wipe ice from my visor twice a lap just to see where I was going.  Needless to say we got red flagged.

Damn, here in winter half the guys skip the first session because it is too cold. Ambient temp about 15 degrees C haha.

Fair play to you Tom. A few years ago I had Donington booked in March and the weather was much the same. Decided to stay at home as opposed to carting bits of the Yam back in a wheelbarrow.

Well it was my first ever race, and after paying the entry fee, hiring a van and driving 200 odd miles I wasn't going to sit around waiting for the weather to get better.
