Mugello predictions, practice, and .....-fest

Crutchlow is way to hungry for Rossi's liking and Rossi has a long history of having an American donkey to help him with his set up work. Hayden just want to be there (MotoGP) where as Crutchlow wants to win. Big difference.

Also if Rossi has had to deny it in the media then you know 100% it is true.

Couldnt agree more, get a genuine challenge in the same team and we have a wall a no data sharing policy and mind games.Class

Normal Service resumed..........Stoner being a complete ...., once again.........Dangerous-stupid behavior

Lorenzo icey smooth and fast-only a race for second this weekend. Love all of the BS that gets sported here after an FP session. Nicky doing well, on a soft tyre that can not be used for the race-as did Barbera. Ducati still looks ridiculously ragged, especially when watching them switch between Spies and the Factory Ducks.

Dovi might be in with a shot for a podium again.

The way Nicky rode today he just might have a chance to stay at ducati, but only as part of Rossi's pit crew
<

Barbera

Rossi

Hayden

That will be the finishing order because they have been the fastest bike

I realize ur trying to make a point about rossi, but in the process u said this. Tell me, do u rate Cal as a rider over Rossi? Put them on two M1s, who wins over a season starting today? I got to imagine u'd say VR. Now consider Nicky is fairly matching VR. So Nicky just want to be there. Well, think back about all the .... people said about CS while at Duc. Double standard much?

Sheesh, I think every stinkin rider that lines up on the grid wants to win. I think the will to win is there for each one as well. The difference right now is that the Duc is hard as hell to get right let alone gel. Cal has the benefit of all the dev on that M1 and making great use of it. The dude is extrememly hungry, but that can have adverse effects if he tries to hard. Last race it seemed as though that was the case for Cal, running wide later in the race and seemingly just a bit off his groove. The guy did make a flyer of the race so he is doing awesome when you think about it. Vale likes to ride a bike in a specific manner as we all know. The duc isn't lending itself to that style. Valentino lately hasn't really been who we all know him as, as "The Doctor", can ride anything with two wheels and win kinda guy. But he may have some fear there since his accident and recovery. He is human. I think that when he gets the confidence he is missing in the bike, his other levels of race confidence will grow. Personally I think with the new Audi money and attitude of wanting to keep the Ducati prestige, they should make a 3 man factory team with Vale, Nicky and Cal. Maybe that way the dev process is sped up a little and maybe they can get to winning again....But I think some of you are right about Vale not wanting to deal with Cal and his lets say...youthful exuberance towards the race. Maybe Rossi is gettng just a tiny little bit long in the tooth, but I doubt that in his case it really matters much.

Birt is saying that Barbera got a tow off Dovi and the entire grid just sits up now and lets him go round when they figure out they are being the tow truck. Not surprised to see Casey take out his frustrations on another rider as he's having a hard time on the bike. It's strange to see Pedro ahead of him right now and it's gonna be interesting seeing which one of them will be better on the new bike.

The two main Ape bikes might be fun for this weekend, Espargo is saying they're putting a fresh engine in for the morning and I wonder if Aprilla may have put some extra hot sauce in there for the home race.

If anyone seen an on-board video, please holler. I can do the audio analysis and determine the RPM they're running.

Running a 1-race grenade would make things interesting!

So he is wrong for trying to sort the bike in practice now as he seems to have done for the 2 previous rounds (where he ended up on pole btw) instead of neglecting sorting the bike and just going for the fastest time in each practice as was your previous criticism of him. Perhaps you should make up your mind.

Didn't see the petrucci incident and can't comment, sounds like petulant behaviour which I had hoped he had given up. Interesting that petrucci seemed to feel the need to apologise to him for the incident in its entirety though.

Not well put by me. Nicky toes the party line. Puts in the work and if they tell him to finish behind Rossi he will do it, figuratively speaking. On the Ducati I rate Hayden above Rossi without hesitation. Remember the tide flows behind Rossi where as Hayden has to paddle upstream always.

What I mean is put Crutchlow on Hayden's bike and he will do what ever it takes to beat Rossi. If that means pissing off Ducati then so be it. Crutchlow knows he has to earn the place always. Hayden (like it or not) always has 'marketing' behind him to keep him there because he is a good bloke and well liked by Americans. Crutchlow doesn't have that and he either wins or he will be on CRT or WSBK within 2 years.

No way Rossi wants a wild card as a team mate. Politics doesn't work on wild cards and Rossi will not be able to control Crutchlow and therefore is more likely to lose to him. Also put Crutchlow and Rossi on a factory M1 and I'll back Crutchlow simply because he is hungrier and will get down and street fight for the win.

My Mugello prediction.

1. Stoner

2. Lorenzo

3. Unnamed Ducati
<

4. Pedrosa

5. Unnamed Ducati
<

6. Cal/Dovi

7. Spies

The straight line speed of the Ducs will actually pay off on a circuit with a straight of 1,141m

twitter says photographers falling over themselves at mugello over this ? epic fail GAY

Fair enough. Though in the scenario I posed, I would think VR would beat Cal on equal M1s. Vale was basically keeping up and sometimes beating Jlo. Cal hasn't really shown that kind of speed and consistency. Sure he is hungry, but I just don't think he yet has the skill. We will see what happens at the end of the season. Cal will continue to battle with Dovi, who so far has had multiple podiums to Cals zero. But that can change at any moment.
