The bikes look the same this year, don't they? This unveiling was much like a Repsol Honda unveiling. "Wow I wonder what the Repsol will look like this year? Oh, it looks the same as it has for the last 30 years." Not that it really matters.

If I read the below correctly, they were actually 2015 bikes with the 2016 paint and stickers. 2016 bikes are shipping directly to Malaysia.
Wondering if that should be worrisome.
"Indeed, the bikes used at today's unveiling looked like 2015 spec M1s. Yamaha confirmed the latest 2016 machine (which had the fuel tank filler behind the seat in testing at Valencia) will be shipped straight from Japan to Malaysia for testing."

They are only to Rossi's machine and the rear fragmentation mine deployment, grenade launcher and inbuilt gatling laser in the fairing are hard to spot.

But frankly I don't think this is the real 2016 bike, they never bring the real machine at these presentations. It's just to show off the updated livery and sponsors' stickers.
