Motorcycle Racing of the Future

Sounds forward thinking but the Isle will not be the best place to present the idea. too many people die in the races there so I don't think innovative minds will cozy up to the ideas of using the Isle as a testing place for their new creation. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Yeah, I had a quick read of some of their forums, and just getting a license to ride at the Island is next to impossible for most people. Doesn't seem like the place to be able to run a bike cheaply, which is where, I presume, a lot of entrants would start from.
Still, it'll be interesting to see what some of the entrants come up with.

I guess without being part of a world championship this is one of the more high profile stand alone events in bike racing. I think there is potential for some facinating developments here, although at the moment this race is just one lap and initially the bikes will be quite slow.

I'm quite interested to see what comes through this event.
