MotoGP promoter Dorna has announced that it has struck an agreement for Finland to host a round of the championship from 2018.
Finland previously held a round of the championship between 1962 and 1982, firstly at Tampere before switching to Imatra.
MotoGP will return to Finland at the new 2.8-mile Kymi Ring, which is still under construction, for the 2018 campaign.
"Today's announcement that MotoGP is set for a return to Finland for the first time since 1982 reflects the global appeal and growing popularity of the MotoGP championship," read a statement.
