I have been thinking about this for some time and I think I bought it up a couple of years ago but we are watching the rule makers decide on what the next 5 years of MotoGP will look like from 2012 to 2016 inclusive. I am sure there will be much discussion on this topic over the next 6 - 12 months.
But what comes after this? 2017 to 2021. Will we see internal combustion engines on the 2017 MotoGP grid or will we see something totally different. What will it be if it will be diffierent? What would you like it to be? Perhaps a new technology will emerge in the next few years that will make an alternative to the ICB an absolute no brainer.
Also will the basic configuration of a racing motorcycle be the same or will we see new chassis and suspension technology, new braking technology, new gear box technology? What will a 2017 MotoGP bike be like?
I guess the follow on to this is will MotoGP beat F1 to leave the ICB behind?
