You'll never see one of the hashtag crew wear a pride shirt in Taliban territory. They will merely beat you over the head with a rainbow flag until you or your employer or your government opens the checkbook.
Citizens of the West are encouraged to participate to cleanse themselves of their sins. This sacrament is not for me.
This is a great post, and I like the term "Hashtag Industrial Complex". I call it "social justice warriors" and "virtue signaling".
Mick Schumacher posts an Instagram picture of him in a gay pride T-shirt and everyone is expected to go along with it. The one-sided experimental inoculation push from corporations globally, leaving no room for people to choose what they put in their body. Going from hashtag end racism t-shirt photoshoots to arrest the cops that killed breonna taylor t-shirts and BLM (the corrupt terrorist organization that incites riots, causes millions of dollars in property damage annually, and bought mansions with its proceeds from donations) t shirts.
Seeing F1 back and encourage one-sided political ideals is alienating. They are not just behind political ideas with room for conversation from both sides (conservatives and liberals), they are whole heartedly embracing strong-arm liberalism and woke corporatism. F1 will post on their social media to get vaccinated, but the drivers are not allowed to speak out against the human rights violations that are vaccine mandates. Formula 1 drivers are not allowed to voice their personal opinions, once they sign a contract in the premier class they become property of Liberty Media group and are expected to advocate for the woke corporation's ideals.
Liberty Media is the American company that purchased F1 circa 2016-2017. They showed their hand when they revealed that they eliminated the Bernie Ecclestone-era founding rules of restricting what the drivers can share on social media and restricting what information is shared with the press. With the elimination of these rules, Liberty Media uses its drivers as ambassadors to push their woke political ideas onto the fans of the sport.
Am I the only one that watches F1 and is constantly reminded of a sport that has been stripped of its masculinity of the Schumacher and Hunt days?
I appreciate Keshav's knowledge and passion for the sport, but he is a textbook tri-state liberal and globalist having spent so many years abroad. He is out of touch with the issues that are tearing our country apart. My goal here isn't to try and change his mind, but for the hundreds of people reading this, who have noticed these things in the back of their head, and subconsciously wonder if it is out of place. Now they will notice it at every turn, and eventually be more vocal in opposition to the Hashtag Industrial Complex that is ruining their sport.
