MotoGP bans winglets for 2017

Moto gp is banning winglets due to hazard risk.

Do you agree that the winglets can cause a lot of problems, Or do you agree with Iannone and take it as competitions jealousy of Ducatis premier use of winglets.?

Breaking: MotoGP bans aerodynamic winglets for 2017
I am not sure about your wording "a lot of problems". How about some problems and dangers. They could regulate that they break away, but remember that Iannone has hit more than one person with the silly things and it looks like they may be bike sliders now. This is besides the dangerous aero-effects that are claimed. (Which I need some independent proof of happening.)

Here is what Loris Capirossi, the current safety advisor for Dorna Sports said after the Marquez-Pony collision:
I went to the Ducati garage to check the strength of the spoiler. I hit it with an old fairing and couldn’t break it; it was impossible for me to break the wing’.

To me, this means that contact with a rider could really hurt and my thoughts at the moment are that they should be prohibited. But we will have to discuss this in the future.

Good, not only could they be dangerous, its another technology that will end up running poorer teams out of the series because of the skyrocketing cost attached to aerodynamic arms race. Ducati may ..... now, but Honda has made it perfectly clear that if they are not banned, they can bury the other teams with non stop testing as they own numerous wind tunnels and have hundreds of aero techs at their disposal just itching to dive into the project. Besides, they are hideous looking.

I'm glad they are banning them.

The aero arms race ruined F1.

Would hate to see GP get ruined by something that has absolutely no purpose, and makes quality racing more difficult.

They need a 2nd amendment over there. The governing body is coming to take away all their wings.

if there is a significant advantage to the winglets maybe teams will start redesigning the body work to incorporate some of the characteristics of the wings.

Shades of F1 and their fan cars.

What happened to "It's prototype racing, anything goes; let the best company win no matter how much they spend." ? (Paraphrasing)

And as for safety... Lets put training wheels and mirrors on the bikes while we're at it; maybe one of those beeping backup alarms too.

My thoughts. If there was actual benefits of the wings keeping the front wheel on the ground, you will see new fairings designed to do the same.
