Motogp Austin 2016 - Meet up

I don't think I can wait till next year. I'm thinking Brno or Motegi.
I'm looking at flights and lodging now

My thoughts.. Skipped Austin this year to go Eruo next year. Have not pinned down the track either. Maybe Assen, Mugello or one in Spain. Why you thinking Brno?

I'm not set on Brno. It's just my schedule won't allow me to take days off except during summer but I'm going to Laguna in July. I can do red bull ring or assen even silverstone too. I'm looking at flight and lodging of these places to figure out the total cost.
Motegi is an exception cus it's in Japan obviously.

Kitty, Brno is your best bet. Spectacular track, excellent racing, awesome atmosphere (from what I'm told). Summer, cheaper than west Europe, and I hear the talent is world class. It has been on my bucket list for years. I actually might kick the bucket before I go at this rate. But hope burns eternal.

Content Warning: Look ....... (.)(.)

You know you gotta do what you wanna do.
I decided to go to Austin because April 10th was my one year anniversary of my motorcycle accident in which I fractured my vertebra.
Things happen in life and it may make you paralyzed or just kill you anytime.
You gotta do things while you can.

Also life can take you to a place you never expected. You know that happened to me in Austin. ;)

Thnx for those inspiring words Kitty. Life is indeed short.

Go to Spain! The Alcañiz round to be exact. It has beautiful scenery, smaller crowds than the other Spanish tracks, excelent atmosphere in a small town, and best of all, it's in a super wine region.

I'm originally from just down the road in Zaragoza and have been to a few rounds of GP and Superbike. There may even be some old threads and pictures somewhere. I know one of the pictures made a big impression on Jumkie.

Unfortunately I don't live there anymore, or I would be there 100%.

Motegi is also one I recommend. I liked south of Tokyo a couple years and made it there during the Gibernau years. Excelent place to watch. Much different atmosphere. Much more serious and race oriented. Not as much party, but great facilities at the track. Honda museum is real cool.

Assen is brilliant and the party the night before in the town (a few miles away) is legendary.
There's also the opportunity to spend a day or two in Amsterdam which is superb.
You do need transport as it's a fair distance from Schipol airport to Assen.

I can testify to this. Joined the annual pilgrimage to Old Assen to honour Foggy in '98 and rode over there. Hundreds of British bikers still make the journey. For many it's like crossing to the island and arguably has similar pedigree.
