MotoGP 2012

No to a 3 man factory team, but there has been some mumbling about 4 works bikes remaining with Dovizioso going to LCR with one of them. The rumors I've heard, which have roughly as much value as the electrons in this message, place Stoner and Pedrosa with Repsol, Simoncelli (factory bike) and Aoyama with Gresini, and Dovi to LCR with a factory bike, no idea if it's a one or 2 rider team.

Yamaha has Lorenzo and Spies signed, Crutchlow will stay at Tech 3, possibly along side Bradl. Edwards theoretically has 'a plan' for next season, but whether it's in GP, SBK or at the boot camp, no idea.

Ducati, Rossi and Hayden both signed, Abraham will (deservedly) return, from there I have no idea. There were rumors that one of the satellite Ducati teams is talking to Honda (can you blame them?).

Suzuki has not even confirmed that they will be there, although the last rumor was that they are coming with the 800cc bike. If so, I guess they hope to beat the CRT bikes.Bradl and Iannone are very possible (from the rumors Bradl is almost a given). Strong Hopkins to return rumors, hard to say but I hope that it's true. Elias, Capirossi and RDP all rumored to be shopping around the World Superbike paddock but I would think that Capirossi will retire. He has over 300 GPs under his belt and the old fire doesn't appear to be there.

I don't expect Smith or Marquez to move up yet, but if not they will make for interesting rumors in '13 if they maintain their form!

None of this is worth much...

I really hope Suzuki stays with it - prefereably with a 1000'er, but if not then at least with the 800. Right now they're running at the front of the non-factory- hondyamahs. CE still there in 2012 would be a surprise for me - he's a great guy, entertaining &&&&, but consistently finishes behind his qualifying position

I have no idea what team though,as it seems Honda and Yamaha will have 4 bikes each,Suzuki 1 single 800cc ?

Other than a sensationalized story put out today, I've seen nothing to make me believe that Honda is going to 4 bikes. The story took Honda saying that the Repsol team was going back to 2 riders (the same as it would have been this season if Dovi didn't push his contract to remain there - HRC wanted him at Gresini) and made it sound as though they are reducing the number of bikes on the grid. From what little I've heard, they may actually increase the number, there is a team looking to defect from Ducati and if the money is there it could happen.

I have only read about Honda going to 4 bikes from the same story put out today,as you have.I have n't seen any other info.Sorry.

If they have more bikes,good.

I was just thinking about,i think it was from Kropotkin(motomatters.com) an article about how expensive the CRT could be if you wanted to have results. Then maybe a new team would rather go for a Ducati ,instead. They are the cheapest as I understand.Or 800cc Suzukis? No idea.

Anyway,2012 seems very unclear to me.Who is going to make the grid bigger when the season starts.

Unless he decides there is no such thing as loyalty and decides to take the Yamaha route or go to Gresini.

IMHO he would be a fool to himself if he did.

Ive been led to believe that zooki will find out their fate over next year at or just after laguna.

I had a few interesting chats with team members at silverstone & they were all saying the same.

At guna or the end of the month.

There's surely going to be a press release soon

I will be stunned if Simoncelli is not on a Honda next season - he looks like the future to me. Once he learns to control the aggression he may be a force to be reckoned with, and if Pedrosa keeps getting injured there will be a day when he says, 'enough'. Honda know that.

Personally i can't stand the guy but there is no doubting his talent.
