When I say boring, I mean by comparrison to what we are used to in this sport.

How to fix it? Bringing back 2-strokes would be nice but thats never going to happen. My guess would be to restrict the electronics so that the rider is in full control. I want to see near high sides when they open the throttle!

I'm sure that the riders would have more fun too.

What's up with the Aussie Flag?
Are there no artists down under that could come up with something original.
A union Jack with a blue border and bullet holes?

Boring is quite individual when it comes to motorcycle racing and I have to be honest and say that I have not found this year boring, but then I am an Aussie as well. However, I will gladly admit that this year has not been as exciting as others past (love the 500cc two strokes) but to me that does not make it boring.

I could not find watching a rider's input to the motorcycle in the body position and movement boring, nor could I find the insane lean angles boring. I even marvel at the technical gadgetry and progression it has made over the last few years and I can't find that boring.

But, I look at different things to some and readily recognise that the same rider winning what appears all the time may well be considered boring, but I don't see it that way. Yes, the gaps and apparent lack of action may seem boring but again I do not see it that way.

However, there have been parts of races this year that I have found uninteresting or not exciting but I have had that feeling for many years in various racing so it is not something new.

I just don't see motorcycle racing, no matter what type as boring.
Garry

My feelings exactly!!I count the hours before the start of every round. Live timing is so exciting to watch. My eyes a glued to the moniter looking at bunch of numbers and names flashing on the screen. The best thing is it's free on motogp.com, though I have a paid membership. To me it's so dramatic. The last 2 minutes of qualifying are intense and Im not seeing any video footage. You realise how close these guys actually are.
They're all fast when it comes down to one lap but during the race its all about the complete package. The starting launch and first corner have me at the edge of my seat!
MotoGP has never been boring to me.

Good grief, can we take it!!! Going mostly unnoticed, this is the most sensible and rational post I've read in a while.
Welcome to the forum Garry, you see it the same as me. I don't do fan worship, but I am full of admiration for every one of those guys whose achievements in the sport have resulted in a rare opportunity of a Moto GP seat.

If Casey 'facks off' into the distance again this weekend I shall simply laugh my socks off, raise my tin of beer, and marvel at what this kid has done this year. I shall study every on the edge corner exit he makes. I shall be gobsmacked at how he is so consistent at being on the edge. I shall study the others, and realise why it is that Casey is 'facking off'!!!

Boring? Absolutely no chance.

So boring you're tempted to switch off? Switch off at your peril, you may just miss history in the making!

We should all be celebrating, or at least applauding Casey's achievements this year, and with the title realisically 'in the bag', the tension builds as we watch to see if Casey can also alter the record books. You can bet your life there will be one man wanting to stop him!

For those who think it's boring, they are either not watching hard enough, have never ridden a motorcycle in anger, or should be watching ice hockey!

here here!!

I'll be raising a can with you Burky .... precisely why I love watching it. And I did the same with Rossi ... but I must admit I do have a spot for stoner so its making all the better for me.

Totally agree Burkey!!! Very well written by you and Gaz...This is what the 500/motoGP are all about irrespective of who is winning!!!...white, black silver, blue, red.....
