Amen, I was so bored with the all the blah blah threads that I stuck on the 2002 season review in a vain atempt to find some excitement but it put me to sleep as well. What gives?

Valentino Rossi also admitted he was finding it hard to maintain his motivation. For the first time in his illustrious career Rossi is turning up for races knowing he is beaten before he’s even started.

“It is a difficult situation for me. It never happened in the past but it is even more difficult to fight when you know it is not possible to fight for the victory. But I will try,” he added.

I wonder if the other riders felt this way for the last 6 years.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.................hmmmmmm? what? what was that, Vale? Sorry, I was just watching replays of the last half of this season and I didn't hear you.

A whinge or a sook?
With that attitude maybe its time to walk away? It makes you think what he will do at the end of 08 when his contract is up with Yamaha.

I'm not a huge fan of Rossi's, but I back him 100% this season. Rossi has praised Casey when the results of this season are presented to him in interviews.

As far as the rule change whining--good on him. The FIM has penciled in a date with disaster. What do we have now? Slower bikes, that cost 10x as much as they did a decade ago, and you can't make an overtaking manuever. Bernie must be pulling the strings b/c these motogp changes smack of F1.

Bernie is a demagogue. He should be beaten to death with copies of his proposterous $6,000 F1 book. He is one of the few people on this earth I will insult without reservation. He put his faith in Tilke, the hype lasted a few seasons and now his venues are hugely unpopular.

They say history repeats itself. Sad, because it looks like it's going to happen again, just a few years after the initial lesson was learned.

And the yama..kaka and uchio and the tax and and and and and....come of it people it’s just coming to the change of the guard!!!...if you go back in history of 500/motoGP I’m sure there are lots and lots of other seasons that were much more unentertaining! To me “boring” Is A Very Harsh word and the 500/motoGP are never boring!!!

But please....For All Us Aussies It’s As Good As It Gets!!!

Viva Casey Stoner the legend!!! Numéro Uno!!! ...1...!!!!

and this....

Without being as inately eloquent as CSCVAW, I'd have to agree with this.

After Mick Doohan dissappeared ..... depression. McCoy came on the scene for us for a little lift in the proceedings. Doohan was so dominant it was a huge comedown for us ( parochial ) Aussies.

But oddly I think the blow was cusshioned because Rossi came along and was originally a protege of Doohans ( with Doohans old team and all ), and Aussies kinda latched onto him a bit, he was also a character
<
so it made it easy to like him.

So really perhaps what some are calling a "boring" season, especially if one was a parochial Rossi fan, is merely another way of expressing that feeling that the guy you have been backing is dissappearing from the scene. Because apart from that its been a "huge" season for many. eg. Aussies, Ducatisti, BridgeStoners, Suzukiers, Kawasakiers, etc.

Yes perhaps its more of a changing of the guard than it appears too, certainly not boring!! Besides our TV coverage and news here in Australia have made us accept it as far from boring.

did you even bother to read the article?
He even said its difficult for him to say it because of the situation.
He said electronics and tyres have ruined moto gp not stoner and ducati so untwist your pants

Barry totally agree with you!!!...Val was an extension of Mick to all us Aussies!!!...especially when Mick and Jeremy’s expertise gave Val his very stable and controlling karma into the 500’s/motoGP experience!!!...and BORING is JUST A COP OUT to some to humiliate our “little champ” Casey Stoner!!!...

JUST REMEMBER FOLKS...CASEY STONER IS NEVER EVER “BORING” TO US AUSSIES...HE’S OUR “LEGEND...NUMERO UNO...THE ONE & ONLY!!!...WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY!!!”...(btw: i know i have used caps...but this is exactly how i feel about this subject!!!”...thank you for listening and well see you all on the podium with our CHAMP CASEY!!!

I dont know how anyone could say that season hasnt been boring. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be BORING.

I can only think of a couple of races that have been nail biters to the very end. It used to be that most of the races were that way. I dont even care who wins, I want to see a battle not one racer walking away from lap one. MotoGP sets its self apart from other motorsport in that it is exciting. Not true this season.

I prefer to watch the 2-strokes, at least they can provide what MotoGP has been lacking.

If you think it's that boring - don't watch it!!!!!

Boring is quite individual when it comes to motorcycle racing and I have to be honest and say that I have not found this year boring, but then I am an Aussie as well. However, I will gladly admit that this year has not been as exciting as others past (love the 500cc two strokes) but to me that does not make it boring.

I could not find watching a rider's input to the motorcycle in the body position and movement boring, nor could I find the insane lean angles boring. I even marvel at the technical gadgetry and progression it has made over the last few years and I can't find that boring.

But, I look at different things to some and readily recognise that the same rider winning what appears all the time may well be considered boring, but I don't see it that way. Yes, the gaps and apparent lack of action may seem boring but again I do not see it that way.

However, there have been parts of races this year that I have found uninteresting or not exciting but I have had that feeling for many years in various racing so it is not something new.

I just don't see motorcycle racing, no matter what type as boring.
