Interesting how the soft Dunlops crucified half the field in Moto3, yet the hard option destroyed Pasini's race. Big difference in gradation in Moto2, yet a much smaller difference with the Michelins in Moto GP.

Great ride from Pecco who continues to impress, but impressive also from Olivera and Mir putting in low '11s - fastest laps of the race.

Looking forward to seeing all three on a Moto GP bike.

Great race. Just this year starting to watch Moto 2 again. Bagnia was so measured and calm. Mir - really impressive.

Yeah, another nice race from the Moto2 grid. As long as there is enough money in the series, this will contiue to be very good racing. I assume the tradition will remain with the Triumph.

I haven't really followed 2 since Marquez went to MGP. I wrongly thought that when Honda left the series it was going to be open to multiple manufacturers. No idea how having Triumph as the control engine will affect the series. I just hope they're as reliable. That's a .... load of race-ready engines for such a small company to supply.

Good point. And Honda has a reliability reputation. However, my personal experience suggests that they may live partly on their past. In addition, we have heard nothing negative about Triumph reliability for decades. So, I will assume that perspective is outdated, just like with British automobiles and Lucas electronics.

Higher displacement though, and remember about the CBR powerplants - they weren't - or aren't in a particularly high state of tuning.

The triples should sound superb.

Honda didn't maintain the Moto2 engines and neither will Triumph. They are handled by an independent third party (I forgot the name).

Several journalists have reported in the past that competing in Moto2 is actually cheaper than Moto3 because of the spec engine. It is also a great way for talent to shine through, so I am happy that they are not changing that formula. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it gradually turned into the Kalex cup (Even though it was supposed to stimulate chassis innovation), but KTM upset that apple cart, so that's good.
