I put this in to relate it back to the title.

Even though it is the wrong thread.

Apropos radiation in the last 6 weeks I have undergone 4 CAT scans, 11 x rays and I think I glow in the dark. If I banged some poor Sheila right now I'd give her radiation poisoning before the clap.

I like the thread title, particularly since it reminded me of the hawkwind song and album "Quark, strangeness and charm", concerning which I was going to comment when we had the participation of a hawkdriver earlier in the thread.

You may still not have caught up to more than a few in the motogp field in terms of numbers of X-rays and CTs.

Christ Barry, I'm completely Australian and generally put .... on wog riders but I like Iannone and he honestly impresses the .... out of me.

I know he's a popular rider and all but I just don't see him as being that fast, occasionally "gung ho" maybe, but fast as in annoyingly hard to catch ..... nup. Now Marquez ...... yes.

Well it was just an attempt to include some radiation and particle physics words ........ never heard of no Hawkwind
<

I was intending to rename the riders after radioactive elements but gave up cos I could only get:

Lorenzium ....... almost works

Mendelandrium ........ but he isn't in GP anymore!

Stonerontium ........ but only the isotopes are radioactive,

Americium is just so ........ Nicky Hayden,

but meh it just doesn't work.

Genuis idea

but lame execution. ( And you call yourself an "engineer?"

)

I put this .... together in 5 minutes. You can do better, put some effort into it!

Stonerontium. An exceedingly rare alkaline earth metal, Stonerontium is a soft silver-white or yellowish metallic element that is highly reactive, particularly when rapidly brought into close proximity with slow moving Punetatine. The rarest isotope, metastable Sr27, is not found in nature. UFOlogists cite the existance of Sr27 on Earth as proof that alien civilizations have visited our planet to share their advanced technology and conduct genetic blending experiments on the Puny Humans.

Rossifordium. Reacts with carbon to produce prodigious quantities of mildly toxic Whinium gas.
