Though the British Eurosport coverage is due to be broadcast only in the UK, the trio have amassed a huge cult following around the globe, most of whom have found - usually illegal - ways of watching the races over the internet.

power to the ppl..Quality Commentary team..
may it continue the net/torrents/avi/seeders/leeches

I cannot watch the main race live anymore simply because I can't abide the BBC coverage. There is no suspense, no passion, no insight, no observation and no understanding. I have to wait until Eurosport to air the recorded coverage - or I 'Sky Plus' it until later. The BBC have ruined this by securing the live rights almost by accident. Has Cox been shipped back to Oz yet? - (preferably in chains like his ancestors)

EXCELLENT!!!!

Spalding is awesome! Hi fulfills a needed role; complementing and balancing the 'chatterbox' duo of Ryder and Moody.

(Agreed, Arabbiata. The BBC torrents I've grabbed have been mediocre at best. Moody's voice can peel paint when he gets excited, but at least you know he's alive and paying attention to the action.)

I can send you some DVDs of the last few years' races if you like. Or send a $50 USB hard drive - I'll fix you up with more bike videos that you can shake a stick at.

Keep trying to join Racing Underground, you'll get in eventually.

Ah, OK. I thought they were letting peeps join as dead accounts were purged. Or maybe I'm thinking of one of the similar sites.

not sure there pretty lenient with stuff not sure how many they drop
i see many threads on the net ppl after invites, cant say i seen any saying the doors are open etc
even for 24hrs.lots try to join and its not open..?

and if ppl use an invite and the invitee dont reg you lost that invite so ppl dont give many out
i dont mind places using invite rules but holding you responsible for that peep is wrong imo how can you physically make them stick to the rules..if they dont its your fault.bah

I might have one or two invites left for racing underground site. Will check in the morning when i finish work.

Well, hell!

I was fiddling with my RU control panel and somehow clicked on the 'generate invite' box. (I thought it would lead to a menu or another page. Instead, it instantly spat out a reg. key.)

The dumb thing expires in 14 days, so I've got to use it or lose it.

If any upstanding PS members need an invite, please PM me. Frosty (you have first pick), Arrab, Rog (making an exception!), Roo, Keshav, and a bunch of other decent chaps and gals are all welcome to it. Please be ready to make full use of the RU service, and promise to make a real effort to maintain a decent UL/DL balance. (It looks like RU has dropped the mandatory ratios, but they may change their Crazy Fool
mr-t.gif
minds in the future.)

TY

ha Yeah 14 days to use and the new peep to reg in that time
and if they know what to do all well n good / rule changers / rules to adhere too

Yep I'm with you Arabb, I can't wait for the new season to start, but the thought of having to listen to the BBC commentary again!

I like Suzy Perry though, she does seem to get away with asking some very up-front questions, the riders like her so they don't mind answering. Like the interview she did with JT.

I think i'll wait for Toby and Jooles 2nd time round. just have to stay off the forum until we've seen it.

been trying to get into RU but with the internet here in the Philippines, dl/ul speed will be seriously slow. might as well wait a few months til i get back to the US. but anyhoo...

i'm not really familiar with the spaulding guy but moody/ryder are dope as hell. i watch races here live on starsports but usually download them after for the eurosport's commentating team

thanks ty but i have no problem watching any of the races live all the time. i always buy & i mean always, a subscription to motogp.com since 02. speed show the races here but i can't wait or take the endless comercials plus i like the 125s & 250 errr moto2 class's. what i should have said was "i wish motogp.com would get these guy's to do commentary. i think that nick harris & gavin emmett do a good job but i've heard moody & ryder do commetary & they defo have the passion!

Agree - I 'accosted' her at Laguna WSB in 02 before Auntie covered GP, and she was so knowlegable and had so much time to talk. She even apologised for being distracted by Mike Hale in the background who was coming out of Parc Ferme having won a 250 race, and recalled that his detractors used to call him 'Mike Snail' because of his lack of speed. I also met her in the paddock there in '06 and she was exactly the same; willing to stop and talk (even though she was heading for the air conditioned media center, and it was 102F at the time) and offer her inside opinions of the season -and she didn't mince her words.

She obviously fancies me

I have a bit of material for your stalker library. You can also add this to any "hate John Kocinski" material you may be amassing as well.

Who was that young girl at the beginning? I'm sure I've seen her somewhere before.

Hate Kocinski? - I never hated Kocinski, apart from the fact that he had a reputation for being vile to his crew, oh yeah, then there was the Simon Crafar incident. I found him very funny and immensely entertaining actually:

My personal amusing recollections about 'lil John:

1/ His OCD was so acute that his cleanliness fetish made Howard Hughes look like Rob Zombie. Has there been any rider since who would vacuum clean his entire riding kit after a session? Worse still, he loved to ride off road and dirt track which caused him huge problems afterwards
2/ Yamaha charged him with the task of test riding and developing the M1 in 2001

He ended up being spat off prematurely by the vicious screamer and breaking his arm in three places. The script for the following two seasons was pretty much written there and then
3/ He came in from a practice session and complained to his crew about fish flapping on the circuit
4/ He was the only rider to secure a world championship on the RC45 - and when Foggy tried to emulate the feat was left with a large helping of egg on his face and went scurrying back to Ducati who at the time were writing the rulebook in WSBk.
5/ He was a very, very talented rider, and managed to win races on the Cagiva in the golden age of the 500cc championship.
6/ He made Foggy seem human.

He's purportedly made zillions out of Hollywood Real Estate and rumours now suggest that he wants to get back into bike racing as a hobby. Why can't he deposit a large amount of his dosh into a Moto GP franchise?
