I wouldn't get too excited over this race. After all, the other Ducati riders did well too. Remember Shanghai's straights are long as can be and the advantage of the top speed of the Ducati really helps keep the riders somewhat close. I'm not jumping on the Melandri band wagon yet.

I agree with you. Shanghai have som long straights AND I suspect the surface are very smoth, as in no bumps, on the relatively new track and that mask Ducati's chassi problems that will reapperar in France.

He made the wrong move... hes not gonna be number one in that team and hes expected to ride like stoners little clone.

Well Suppo says there is no number ones in the Duc's pad. They all get equal support.

Sure Shangai has long straights but did we watch the same race? That little stunt where he and Dovi overtook each other 3 times on one long curve had nothing to do with straight line speed. That was riding that showed Marco has gained a level confidence with the ducati that he hasn't yet had this season. He was riding that bike rather than being taken for a ride by it. I'm sure the problems aren't over but it would be very short sighted to put yesterday's performance down to the straights.

And he didn't even seem jet lagged at Oulton Park today
