Also 6 more seasons. However, even as a keen stoner fan I think it is unlikely in the extreme that he will end up with anything like this number of wins, so your point is valid

Also, Vale's win total obviously comes at the expense of those who competed against him - there aren't that many wins left for others when he's winning all the races over an extended period of time. Whether you attribute that dominance solely to him rocking, partly to being on the dominant package for a significant portion of his career, or to everyone else sucking there haven't been many wins available for the taking during the motogp era.

its obvisly been due to lack of competition and a superior package. if he was really THAT good then he would of won more in the last 14 months wouldnt he?

I'm not much for guys bailing out of a bad situation that they freely chose to be in. What team will want him if he gives up after 3 races? Hayden has never given up and keeps plugging away under less than ideal circumstances. Every team has problems.

Marco should have gone to Suzuki
<
. He would have been far happier. Big mistake for him since Capper looks set for 2009.

unless your a lacky like edwards, its never good to join a team where your teammate is the current world champ.

unless you can beat your teammate or atleast be competitive you are making the worse move of your career

More amazingly insightful facts from someone who spends too much time in the company of their own package.

WTF?, so Elias or Guintoli are taking the Marlboro Ducati seat???

Nah, I think Mari got it wrong - Barros, Canepa or Max to take the factory ride.

I find all this extremely far-fetched. It could only occur if melandri had arranged the deal totally himself, and even then I would find it unlikely; he might be quite a threat on a kawasaki apart from anything else. Certainly if ducati dumped him mid-season you would think they would have extreme difficulty signing other top-five riders in the future. In any case going by elias's form so far this week-end the fortunes of the non-stoner ducati riders may be on the up.

West is a different matter; I would not be surprised to see him go anytime after this week-end.

Marco's been getting better this weekend, and I think myself he'd be higher up if it wasn't for a ruined first session (electronics).

HOPEFULLY this is the first step back to the leading pack.

my mistake

it's what racesport is saying, but yeah it's only rumours ofcourse. but I can see it happen: if ducati and marco aren't happy with the way things are going, and if kawa is willingly to pay of west and give marco a chance on their bike, it might happen.

would be kinda cool if max would come back on the duc

don't think it'll happen tho

Give it to Scud, and tell him Stoner dissed his Mum.

And give Hopper the lollipop for an F1 team, and give his bike to Haga.

Nice ride from Marco today, whatever changed worked well and hopefully is the uplift he needs to build on from here. I guess Kawasaki can look elswhere for West's replacement

Nice to see him only a few seconds from the back of Casey, and up until the halfway point he was close enough to trouble him.

Marco apparently asked for a different anti-spin from Stoner's this weekend. He also talked his team into letting him play around with the weight distribution so he says he can now 'feel' the engine. He finally seems to be on track to getting on with the Ducati.
Suppo was asked directly about the Kawasaki thing on Friday. He denied it flat out. But then again he would...
