I think the point he made about it conserving tires and allowing a different race strategy is spot on. It seems to be very common in the pre-electronics (TC) days that guys had more trouble getting tires to last the race distance, lap times always seemed to drop. Now we are getting some of the fastest laps at the end of the race, granted fuel is lower but you still need grip. TC seems to be giving that. But like how Mat says, the teams that are good at setting it up are getting the the advantage. It's just another added complexity to the bike that has to be balanced against everything else. I'm have mixed feelings about whether it should be banned or not.
