Loris Capirossi is confident of success with Suzuki in 2008.

Caparossi's scrap with Rossi at Mugello 2006. One of the best Moto gp races ive ever seen.
When he's happy with his set up, he'll go out to win, or chuck it in the gravel trying.
I reckon he's still got that spirit. One .... season dosent make him a 'has been'

4th fastest yesterday on a bike he's never ridden-none too shabby!

Hope he rips next year, so funny how people dismiss him(aswel as other riders) just because they had 1 ..... season!

Spot on mate, too many folks slagging Capi off coz they'd never watched bike racing before this season, and don't know what the guy is capable of.

Naturally, it takes a Scot to make a wise comment like that.

Totally agree. Was watching the highlights of that very race today. Made me grin all over again.
Loris is an old fox, with, as he pointed out, a new toy. I think he's still got some tricks to teach to the puppies.

Loris has gone even better so far today, running 1:33.163, behind only stoner, hayden and pedrosa, with vermeulen well behind him at 1:33.874. Don't know whether they are both running new bikes etc.

Loris tested the 2007 model, only Vermeulen used the 2008 proto. New bikes for both of them then... Capirossi said he found Suzuki's electronics pretty good, he thinks the bike only lacks some peak power compared to Ducati. But he likes the Suzuki's feel better and was really happy with it.

truly great risers adapt to a bike. you can never have abike setup 100% the sway you want it NEVER ever happens, the track condition changes and tire changes lap to lap.

a great rider adapts to the bike and conditions.

ducati/bridgestone was good enough to dominate this season, loris should of been able to do alot better than he did.

a great rider shouldn't have to change his own style just for the sake of technological advancements.

turn that dam traction control off and loris would be sliding the ... out of that ducati and everyone at home would be havin fun instead of enduring these boring flag to flag follow the leader type races.

sorry couldn't resist

stoner proved the ducati was capable of winning, loris prove HE was uncable of winning

why do you come into other threads with nothing positive to say, why do you bother... wheres the troll spray

i was positive about the ducati and stoner... the positiveness may make other part of the statement look negative

Be positive about something other than Stoner maybe? Then you wont be regarded as a Troll, which you are..

loris has backed himself into a corner with these comments. hes out of excuses if he dont perform this season

Lets not forget that Loris also said he did not have a suspension technician this season. How many of you could go out and dial in your own suspension and run with the best racers in the world? I know on my bike it has taken over a year to get it dialed in the way I want it. I know there is NO way I could dial it in over a couple of days worth of riding without someone that was much more knowledgeable than myself.

Its really quite simple Pinky, Loris didnt get on with the new Ducati, he was lapping quicker yesterday on a bike he'd only ridden for 2 days than a bike he's ridden all year-and thats with the same tyres!

You should perhaps pull your tongue out Stoners ..., remove the blinkers and start posting some decent stuff coz your full of ........basically

If Loris doesn't believe now that he will have success with Suzuki he may as well stay at home. Its part of every riders approach to convince themself they can win. If not they end up like Edwards

I really think Loris and Chris will be on top next season. Suzuki has allready important experience with the new bike - runned a race and had plenty of testing with Aoki. Remember that Dukes were the first to start testing the new bike last season.I think putting aoki on the prototype bike in a race was a good move from suzuki that can be exploited in the test period in order to develop the bike into a top runner.

Wasn't that Barros??

Capi had full support.

dont let facts get in the way of a good argument.

depends on what facts you're talking about...sometimes, an argument is senseless without the facts
