Interesting article by Matt Oxley on Lorenzo, I found Lorenzo's comments particularly entertaining given that a lot of us here believe Oxley is biased towards Rossi.

Some people accuse me of criticising Lorenzo because I prefer Rossi. But not so long ago Lorenzo told me, “Valentino thinks you are against him”. I don’t know why Rossi might think that (or even if he does), but perhaps it’s because at the end of that most controversial of all MotoGP seasons I wrote, “Lorenzo was undoubtedly the fastest man out there in 2015… I’ve also been impressed by his ability to keep his head and ride an inch-perfect race in front of thousands of booing fans wearing yellow-tinted specs… the more he’s hated by fans who refuse to acknowledge his brilliance, the more I like him”.

When one's daily praise supplement comes in multi-million fan doses
I imagine it's like any other euphoria creating drugs in that one
can build up a tolerance, so that one doesn't get a hit from something
as insignificant as a helping of plaudits in one of Oxley's online articles.

BTW - check yer pm.

That is a weak attempt on Oxley’s part to distance himself from general consensus that he carries Rossi’s water. Did any one see the article where he admits that the tire change last year derailed Vinales but it was exciting for the fans and if he had carried on winning 60% of the races it would have been boring. He would be slobbering on Rossi’s .... if it had been him that was winning 60% of the races and everyone knows it. Not once did he mention it was Rossi’s influence that derailed Vinales, but f he had of mentioned it would have been a piece about how Rossi made GP exciting. The guy knows GP and is very informative but please, just admit you are not just a Rossi apologist, you are the Rossi apologist.

Agreed. If he holds that view, it's likely because he has become so accustomed to unconditional affirmation.
