Not referring to the rumor. Jorge has signed. Has just been confirmed to me by very reliable sources.

Edit: meant to type "signed" on the thread title but lost focus due to excitement. Sorry fellas :D

cool to see the news traveling fast everywhere I was afraid to sound like I'm making it up :D:D:D:D

I called this after he signed for Ducati that he would end up at Honda in 2019. I have no idea how to search for the post though but I'm sure I remember posting that he would likely end up at Repsol.

If he beats MM on the same bike, he will most certainly be in the reckoning for GOAT.
I wish him all the best, MotoGP needs George in the paddock.

I agree with Synn though I would add that it also could be huge for MMs legacy. If he continues to dominate Lorenzo like he has since he came into the class on the same bike then he's undeniable. Lorenzo has the numbers over Rossi on the same bike and is pretty even number wise with Stoner.

I personally reckon he won't have it easy on the Honda. But whatever happens, it'll be so interesting!

I'm thinking Honda wants him to help make the bike easier to ride. If the bike is easier to ride then maybe Marquez doesn't have so many moments on the front end. Despite Honda looking better at the beginning of the year it's clear that Marquez is still the difference.

Umm, I'm not sure about this. Jorge has just adapted his style to suit the Ducati after riding the crap out of the Yamaha. Will it be as easy to flip to a Honda style?

I'm not as well versed on the bikes as many on this forum are but is the Honda an easier bike to ride?

I like Marquez but would he genuinely welcome a credible opponent in Lorenzo if the bike is easy to work with? Pedrosa was a nice guy but he wasn't the kind of threat that a pumped up Jorge would be.

Do you think Honda are wanting a balance between exciting crazy man with an impressive talent and a consistent, metronomic 'safer' man with an impressive talent?

My feeling is that MM has all those moments because he likes a bike that’s on the knife’s edge and likes to push it to the absolute limit before he knows how much to dial back.

Problem is, no one else on the Honda can do that. Maybe J.Lo can help make the bike a bit more of an all rounder.

From everything I have read so far:

Honda: hard braking, hard acceleration, making V shapes in corners
Ducati: doesn’t turn unless you force it to with the rear brake
Yamaha, Suzuki: corner speed is where it’s at
KTM: Still haven’t figured out what sort of bike they want
Aprilia: what? The engine hasn’t blown up? Beers for everyone!

I got another birdy chirping that Petrux gots Lorenzo's seat. Rumor until it's not.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

That is GREAT news, I'm a #93 supporter and I'm extremely happy to know that #99 will be on the same bike

Will be very interesting in seeing how accommodating HRC is with George. He is a picking little sort.

Has anyone won a race on three different MFG?
