Not far off Daz, I think Rossi will end up struggling despite his P2 qualifying spot. Gibbers is going to struggle, he starts from 13th. Melandri as well, he had a rather large get off in the corkscrew on Friday and I have some pictures of him stumbling off the track and picking up his bike so I will post when I return home. Biaggi could land somewhere around 5th. And I say it again, don't overlook Hopkins. He is absolutely riding the wheels off of his Red Bull Suzuki.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dazza @ Jul 9 2005, 06:55 AM)<div class='quotemain'>Ok my prediction.
1) Hayden
2) Edwards
3) Biaggi
4) Bayliss
5) Gibbers

I know I know a bit wild but I have this eerie feeling that Vale will

A) Be too over cautious due to his dislike to the track and maybe hit 7th or 8th

His first DNF of the season.
Looking forward to it guys and enjoy Ooost & meatly.

I have to say that i am liking your predictions on this Dazza. but for the exception of gibernau, this would be a great place to finish strong and gain points on rossi, but i just dont think that he will do too well on an unfamiliar track. i think that maybe hopkins would be a front runner here. he looks quite strong in the fp and after qualifying 6th. but maybe im just excited for the yanks to do well.

Congratulations to Nicky (and his fans !)

He completely dominated the weekend, he did a "Rossi".

Colin did a great race too, what a breathtaking overtake !!!

It will be interesting to see what can Rossi do next year now that he knows all the secrets of the track.

congrats to nicky for his maiden victory. keep it fun, believe in yourself and keep smiling.thats what i posted in his website and then i got attacked by a hoard of young girls.they thought i was criticising him. rossi wins laguna in '06' for ? i am looking forward to seeing if this win will propel nicky to actually challenging for victory at other tracks,or will he continue to keep hanging in there. i think he can and will, but dont know when, make the leap forward and challenge the top boys every weekend.

yes big well done to nicky, this will do his confidence no harm at all,if the comentater's got it right it took mick doohan 4yrs before his first gp win !and a big well done to colin aswell what a pass and on the inside at the corkscrew ?

I haven't seen the telecast yet so I'm not sure about the Edwards overtake at the corkscrew. Sounds to me like he did it in typical Bostrom fashion, I love it. Anyways Nicky did a superb job and it is just what he needed to make the jump up to the next level. I think he will be able to fight for higher places on the podium from now on. Let's see how he reacts in Donny. Too bad for Bayliss and Hopper, they both looked so strong in all the free practices and qualifying.

Yea it is too bad that Hopper didn't finish up around 3rd or 4th. I was really hoping that he would do better in front of his home crowd(although 8th is quite respectable considering the junk that he is riding). He did look very strong in practice and qualifying. Coming into Donny he is still in front of his home crowd you could say, having his british roots. So hopefully he will pull through at donny and finish hopefully top 5?

Top 5 is a bit optimistic. I still think the 'Stones, not to mention the GSV-R, are holding him back. If he finishes in the Top 10 it would be a respectable result. One that would help his stock rise with silly season's full force only a matter of months away.

intersting picks. more interestingly, no one picked Hayde, Edwards, then Rossi, but many had all three in the top 3 lol. i noticed this in other forums as well
