Sanctaphrax says:
for a rider who doesn't know the Corkscrew, its a really dangerous corner, not that far to the fence if you go off it
Sanctaphrax says:
thats West, Guintoli

Thats when we didn't know who got hurt. I just have to point out that I was right. it was Guintoli and it was the Corkscrew.

1 thru 6 real close less than a 1/2 sec. go rossi!!!!!!!

I still reckon De Puniet's experience will make him top Kawasaki come raceday, followed by Roger Lee and then Anthony.
Worth noting, Chaz Davies is improving all the time. Drafted in at the last second and still using this session to get a basic setup going, he's only two seconds off the pace. For the first time on a Ducati, I reckon he'll take that! Just over a second and a half off the guy ahead of him. Still improving, I'm pretty impressed!

First time on a MotoGP bike. First time on the Ducati. First time around Laguna Seca.

The fact he's that close to the guys at the front is superb. Obviously no-one wants riders to miss races through injury, but it's really given Chaz a great opportunity in the premier class, and he's hoping he can take it!

I don't think I've ever been so excited to see a Welshman streaming through on live video.

De Puniet came off I think - caught a glimpse of one Kawasaki "taking a break"...

Again, lets not exaggerate. He's close to the guys at the back, he's still four seconds off Stoner.

Just gone quicker again, 1.3 off KR.

Guintoli just went seventh ahead of Pedrosa!

Yeah, top Kawa is now De Puniet in seventh. Roger Lee is 12th.

Jesus...... Stoner just broke underneath the 1.23's! He just did 1.22.997, and that ladies and gentlemen, is a new track record.

Kawasaki are the only manufacturer not represented in the top 5. The two Fiat Yam's are 4th and 5th.

Chaz Davies broke underneath the 1.27's. Good on ya Chaz, only 1.2 off Duhamel now.
Now only 0.7 away from Duhamel. Really good session from Chaz.

i think that raw power(grunt) of the duc from coner to coner is just the best.. melandri is hitting red helmets left and right but when it comes to the last section, the sharp corner to the line he is loosing a few tenths to the duck. i finally seen stoners point and shoot tecnique and its fast. he makes that bike torpedo out of the corner..
